The State of Utah will receive through the annual distribution of twenty-fiv- e per cent of the National For of the gross receipts ests, which has recently been made, according to District Forester R. H. Rutledge of the Intermountain Dis trict. The amount due in each state is sent in a lump sum to the Governor but is then subdivided among the counties according to the area of National Forest land in each. This distribution of funds has been devised to pay the counties in which National Forest lands are situated for the possible loss in taxable values resulting from the tfact that National Forest lands are forever withdrawn from the tax rolls. When fiist started in 1908 the amount the counties received annually was small, but as the National Forests are being developed, it has hapidly increased and in a number of counties now brings in a very sub stantial revenue to the road and school funds. Under this distribution Sevier county will receive $1820.79 this being 25 per cent of the gross receipts of the Manti and Fish Lake National Forests, portions of which !ie in this county. guaranteed. up tt tt all-wo- See our large bill for With every Coat or Dress ' from $15.50 and up, while they last, a pr. of beautiful saxonette gloves.
