Show EDWIN R WARDLE DIES AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS AGE 79 funeral services were held at the highland g ahland school on the north myton bench sunday afternoon for edwin R wardle under the direction ot of ernest 11 burgess bishop of roosevelt first ward the speakers were william H stone ot of loka ioka ed burgener and bishop burgess the music for the occasion consisted of a vocal duet by mrs J P may and bruce calder a duet by mrs van fullmer jr and mrs pay fay drollinger a solo the end of a perfect day by mrs jas briggs the building was crowded the many friends of the deceased who showed their appreciation of their acquaintance with many very beautiful floral offerings after the he services the remains were ari to vernal where interment was nade alongside of the grave of hu his alfe E edwin dwin ralph wardle who died august angust alth at duchesne after a very ery short illness was the son ut lit eorge wardle and fannie ruston ff vardice VardI ardle Ct ile he was born at the platte liver aver on august 4 1848 while the company in which his parents were traveling westward were encamped hey went on oil and arrived in salt ake valley where they lived until ie was eight or nine years yeam old the amily then moved to provo utah chich they helped to settle they later inter moved to midway in wasatch county where the family lived un lil ill the black war broke out in which As as a inerd mere boy he served lnell the end of the war in 1867 at the age of 19 he was married ried in the salt lake endowment house to betsy orinda thompson it Is quite a coincident co incident that his wife was born on deer creek a small tributary of the north platte on august 3 1848 her parents were members of a company of pioneers who were just a few days travel ahead of the company in which mr Ward lea parents were traveling ifer her mother died and was burrick at north platte the young couple moved to the jordan river section until after the birth of their first child when they moved to and helped settle glenwood sevier county they later moved to grass valley and helped in the settlement of that country they moved to ashley valley in the tall fall of 1881 upon the opening of the uintah reservation er mr wardle took I 1 up a homestead on the north myton bench where he has resided since ito ile Is survived by tile the following children edwin R jr of north myton bench S jed of duchesne Du chesno clarence E of stockton california mrs fanny shelton of and mrs lucy shelton of hyland ilia his wife and five other children i have prece proceeded eded him to the great beyond ile he Is also survived by nineteen grand children ob ildren five great grand children two brothers and four ti sisters |
