Show SXS5X5XS5SX5X5s LAPOINT FUNERAL SERVICES HELD AT LAPOINT Funeral services were held in the Lapoint chapel November 30 at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Teresa Drucilla Howell Graham who died at Salt Lake City Monday of causes incident to age. 1st counselor Albert Norton presided: presid-ed: Prelude, "Nearer My God to Thee", Orloa Reynolds; prayer, Hayden Foster; duet, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul", Irva Huber and George Bigelow; talk, Jerry Jer-ry Harrison; solo, "Goin' Home" Dorothy Caldwell, accompanied by Hatlie Hurst; talk, Howard Hurst; saxaphone solo, "The End of a Perfect Day", Arda Caldwell, Cald-well, accompanied by Arloa Reynolds; "Softly and Tenderly was sang by the choir; prayer, D. I. Wilson. Interment was in the Tridell cemetery with the Deseret Mortuary Mor-tuary of Salt Lake City in charge. The Pall Bearers were her six sons, George Lawrence, Melvin, Dewey, Willis and Elmer El-mer Hackford. George Graham left Monday for Salt Lake City where he will remain for a visit and receive medical care for his eyes. Mrs. Roxa Taylor received word that her son, Martin had arrived safely overseas and that her son, Ralph, who lives at Salt Lake City, but has been stationed station-ed for the past while at California Californ-ia in the service, was released from the army and will be employed em-ployed as barber at Ft. Douglas. Mr. and Mrs. Woody Searle of, I Vernal were overnight visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Abbegglen Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hacking j received word last week from their son, Carl, formerly of Roosevelt that he had joined the Merchant Marines at California. Cali-fornia. TJie Hackings have another an-other son, Duane in the Navy. Mrs. Barbara Nyberg and daughter, Mrs. Christine Harrison Harri-son arrived home Tuesday after attending the funeral of her niece, Mrs. W. S. Candland at Pocatello, Idaho. They also visit ed Mrs. Orpha Palmer and family fam-ily at Ft. Hall, Idaho. H. Grant Vest, Superintend of Uintah county schools and H. Beatrice Stringham, Primary Supervisor of Vernal visited our school here Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. George Hack-ford Hack-ford accompanied Willis Hack-ford Hack-ford to Los Angeles, California Californ-ia on Monday for a visit. Frank Lee underwent a major ma-jor operation Thursday at the Valley hospital in Vernal. He is doing fine. Mrs. Sylvia Blackburn received receiv-ed a letter from her son, Preston Searle which was dated November Novem-ber 18. He states he is now in Germany. The sky has been full of our planes all the time and they can see our planes bombing the Germans. Also, if it would stay clear for a few days he thinks it wouldn't take very long to take Germany. All he has seen so far of Germany has been shelled and bombed to pieces. A party was held in the La-point La-point chapel Thursday night in honor of Jack Jenkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, who left Monday for Salt Lake City to report for the armed forces. A program was render-1 render-1 ed and dancing enjoyed. |
