Show Honored By Family On 75th Birthday Mrs. Jessie Butcher entertained in honor of her husband's 75th birthday. Those attending were Bishop and Mrs. Golden Collins, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Anderson of Roosevelt, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Butcher and family of Roosevelt; James Butcher and son, Richard of Evanston, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Otis Butcher and Walter Prince. I The guests enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings. trim-mings. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bowden and family, who have' been living at Independence, have moved over near Myton. Mrs. William Jenkins went to Vernal Saturday evening to visit her sister, Mrs. Zina Riche'ns, who had fallen from a chair and hurt her leg. Mrs. Richens had fallen some time ago and had broken her leg. Mr. and Mrs. Kine Hatch and family, of Provo, have moved their traijor house onto their property pro-perty just north of the house the Parrishes moved from recently. DIES IN ISLANDS Ambrose Graham, an early resident resi-dent of Ballard and Roosevelt, died on Okinawa, Dec. 1, of a heart ailment. Mr. and Mrs. Graham, Gra-ham, who have lived in Oakland, Calif, for some years, were en joying a world tour. Many from Ballard will remember the Grahams Gra-hams and will extend their sympathy sym-pathy to Mrs. Graham and family. After visiting in Duchesne and also at Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Larsen have rented an apartment near Roosevelt for a while. Larry plans on going to the USAC for school as soon as he can make preparations. We Welcome Larry and his wife back into the ward. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Mitchell', of Provo, were weekend guests at the' home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jenkins. Mrs. Wilbur Bingham and two children and Mrs. Lynn Luck visited vis-ited with Mrs. Elton Kettle and Mrs. Charles Pool at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bracken on Thursday. Officers and teachers of the ward .and partners held their annual an-nual Christmas party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Hullinger on Thursday evening, Dec. 8. After the lesson was presented, games were played and delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served to the twenty present. Mr. and Mrs'. Stanley Womack and family have purchased the R. D. Ross farm at Independence and have moved onto it. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Chandler who have been living in Avalon since' their marriage, have moved to Salt Lake City, where they have employment. Mrs. Ralph McMullin motored to Mt. Home one day last week to take her mother, Mrs. Annie Anderson, who had spent ten days visiting at the McMullin home. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Holmes, from Neola, and Mrs. Iva Harris and Mrs. Fern Burdick of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Brighton on Sunday. Harden Labrum had the misfortune misfor-tune to have his hand's frozen quite' badly during the cold spell a short time ago. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McMullin and twin daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph O'Neil and small son made a trip to Provo on Saturday on business and pleasure. |
