Show Myton Mrs. Grace Dalgleish The Beehive girls entertained their mothers Monday evening, the occasion being award night. Stake Beekeepers Mrs. Ellen Rawlings and Mrs. Millie Stevens Stev-ens awarded honor Bee certificates certifi-cates to Alma Hamilton, . Mildred Mil-dred Tanner, LaRae Morrill and Joan Crapo. Spirit of the Hive cards were presented to girls graduating from the Primary. Pri-mary. Bee Keepers Fern Harmon and Phyllis Wood were in charge of refreshments. I Mrs. William Preece and Mrs. W. E. Burton entertained the Ladies Aid society of the Presbyterian Pres-byterian church Thursday afternoon after-noon at the Preece home. The regular business session was followed fol-lowed by a delicious luncheon. Miss Alice Todd entertained Friday afternoon at a Tripoli party. Present were Mrs. Blis.s Lott, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs, H. W. Daveport, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Dal-gleish, Mrs. Floyd Lamb and Mrs. George Moeller, Mrs. Robinson Rob-inson was high score winner. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mott and Mrs, Charles Sands, with Wen-dal Wen-dal Dcspain, instructor at the Roosevelt airport, left Saturday on a cross country flight to Sacramento, Sac-ramento, Calif. Rough weather forced them to land at Wendover, Nevada and Mrs. Mott and Mrs. Sands returned by bus, while the two pilots continued the flight, returning home Sunday afternoon. after-noon. ' Visitors at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Yergensen, aiurciay, were Mr. Yergensen s cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Del Rae Christianson, who were enroute to New York City to embark for England; and Mr. and Mrs. J. Y. Christianson, who were going as far as New York City with them. Joan Funk returned home Friday Fri-day from Arcadia, where shr enjoyed a five day visit with Ra-mona Ra-mona Nielson. Harry Wilson, Donald Wilson and Don Adams, of Vernal, were Myton business visitors, Saturday. Satur-day. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Peterson and children came from Provo to spend the Labor Day week-end with Morris' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Peterson. Mrs. Antone Uresk, who underwent un-derwent an appendectomy last week at the Standardville hospit-tal, hospit-tal, was able to return home Friday. Mr. Uresk went to Standardville Stand-ardville that morning- to bring his wife home. The circus sent out a loud call to Myton, drawing to Salt Lake Mrs. Sadie Bywater and daughter, La Ree, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Tolboe, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Tolboe, Mr. and Mrs. Giles Wood and sons, Merrell and Chal, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Monks, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ross and two children, Mrs. R. C. Walker, of Salt Lake City, was a weekend guest at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish. They enjoyed a trip to Duchesne, Sunday, where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart and Mr. and Mrs. Del Combs. Mrs. Marion Mott and family returned Saturday after spend ing the summer at Rangely, Colo, with Mr. Mott, who is working there; Albert Tanner spent the weekend week-end here, bringing his mother, Mrs. George Tanner, who had visited a week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Olsen, at Spring Glenn. Albert returned to Carbon county Monday. Mrs. Lydia Peatross, who has been visiting in Vernal, returned home Monday. The former Forsythe home was purchased last week by Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Davis from Mrs. Eleen Williams, -who has returned return-ed to her home in Wyoming. Mr. Davis is employed at the Castle Peak gilsonite mine south of town. Mrs. George Moeller left Tuesday Tues-day for Riverton to spend a few days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Orr, before returning return-ing to hex home at Altadena, California. While here Mrs. Moeller was a guest at the home of relatives, Mr. A. M. Todd, Miss Alice Todd and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd. Frances and Howard Funk left Monday for Mt. Pleasant to resume their studies at Wasatch Academy. Mr. and Mrs. Funk took them to school and returned that .same evening. Mrs. Iva Adams, of Midway, arrived last week to make her home with Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Harris while she resumes he." teaching position in the Myton school. Mr. and Mrs. Denzel Hemphill took their daughter, Helene, to Mt. Pleasant Monday, where she will again be a student at Wasatch Wa-satch Academy. Willis Dart, son of Mr. and Mrs. O, A. Dart, left Monday to enroll as a student at Wasatch Academy, Mt. Pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. Orin Olsen, of Duchesne, were Myton visitors, Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Peterson visited in Myton Monday. They are residing at Deep Creek while Mr. Peterson is employed on highway construction. Mr. and Mrs. James Hamilton returned home last week from Juniper Springs, Colo., where Mr. Hamilton has been under treatment for the past six weeks, Mrs. Oscar Adams enjoyed a weekend visit from her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Baugh, of Provo. Mrs. H. W. Davenport was honored Monday afternoon when a group of friends surprised her to celebrate her birthday anni-1 versary. An afternoon of cards i was enjoyed by Mrs. Davenport, Mrs. Devon Gentry, Mrs. Agnes Wedig, Mrs. George Wedirr Mrs. Guy Giles, Mrs. Darrell Dean, Mrs. Jensen and Mrs. Aften Rich-ens. |
