Show r - f theatre Valley Music Hall Opens Second Year With Sparkling Schedule THE U N SIN KABLE MOLLY BROWN, starring JANE POWELL, opens Monday evening, June 6, marking the beginning of the second year of operation in VALLEY MUSIC HALL's "magic circle of ment." On July 19, 1965, CAROUSEL, starring PETER PALMER and MARn GOT MOSER, opened the Inter-Moun-ti- Wests only CAROUSEL was theatre-in-the-roun- the first of ten musi- cals that were produced during the initial year of operation. The opening of VALLEY MUSIC was a gala affair. Included on th list of dignitaries that attended the first performance were: President David 0. McKay, Art Linkletter, President of VMH's advisory board and Rhonda Fleming. This summers series of musicals starts six weeks earlier than last year. The season is made up of five musicals: THE UNS1NKABLE MOLLY HALL BROWN, BYE, BYE BIRDIE, OLIVER!, THE MUSIC MAN, and ANNIE GET YOUR GUN. Each production will run for two weeks. Last year ballots were distributed to the audience to help the executive staff of VALLEY MUSIC HALL decide which musicals were the ones that the public would like to see. Armed with this information KENN RANfor DALL, Executive VALLEY MUSIC HALL, proceeded to book the shows that received the most popular votes. Producer One of the productions that was voted for most heavily was THE KING AND I, which is scheduled to open the fall season of musicals at VALLEY MUSIC HALL, Some of the stars that will appear the new summer season of musicals are: JANE POWELL, GEORGE WALSTON and HAMILTON, RAY DOROTHY COLLINS. The supporting casts are made up of local veterans and rourfded off with Hollywood professionals. After the first two musicals, between BYE, BYE BIRDIE and OLIVER! there will be several weeks of "SPECIAL performances.
