Show Ktvitw. iepiemoei 10, PLANT NAPPER REPENTS I I -- Mayers Ensemble Plans Concert A refreshing note comes to Salt Lake Valley again this fall as the Bernard Mayers Ensemble prepares to introduce another talented young person at their semi-annu- al concert Wednesday evening The bright young talent is Miss Connie Hughes, 13, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Harold B Hughes, a student at Judge Memorial High School Miss Hughes will be featured with the ensemble September 22 at 8;30 p M at the Ladies Literary Club, 850 East South Temple The concert is open to the public. Bernard Mayers, cellist and leader of the Ensemble, delights in enc waging local youth in the evelopment of their musical talents. A native of the British Isles, Mr. Mayers has played on the European continent for many years in addition to playing with major symphonies, including the London philharmonic and Scotish Symphony Orchestras Since he came to America 15 years ago, Mr. Mayers has appeared as a cello soloist and with his ensemble in major cities across the country.
