Total The state road commission and Rich, county road supervisors, deserve much praise for the fine showing they have made in keeping the state road open, from the Wyoming Line on the south to the Wyoming line on the north, comenciing with the Evanston road on. the South line and with the Kemmerer road on the north line. Special equipment was given to supervisor A. G. Barton, and he has ure made good use of it. All snow plows have been doing a double shift A. mighty effort has been made to open the Bear Lake road over the summit, but the continued Mowing and snowing has made it impossible to keep the road passable-faauotamobiles. It was open. for a short time, but the heavy wind Thursday closed it again. If the wind will cease, it will bo only a matter of a few days before the roads will all be cleared of snow. The mail route from the north is closed entirely. Trains through Montpelier have been snowbound several times. There has been more wind this winter than there has been for several years, which is indeed a menace to auto roads if there is any snow to blow.
