TfDMttnnaiiPv John Edwin Taylor, 73, of 1399 Everett Ave., Layton, died Monday, Feb. 2, 1987, in the McKay-De- e Hospital in Ogden of causes Loyd Herb Summers, 66, of 1545 W. 1750 N., Layton, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1987 in the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City of Owen Woodruff Home, 83, of Sunset Drive, Kaysville, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1987 at his home of cancer. He was bom March 18, 1903 in Richfield, a son of Joseph Smith incident to age. He was born Jan. 1 , 1914 in Rigby, Ida., a son of George A. and Eunice Jensen Taylor. cancer. 1442 S. and Martha Marie Morrison Home. He married Mildred Meyer Oct. 27, 1927 in the Manti LDS Temple. He had been a dairy farmer. He had lived in Richfield for 26 years; West Jordan for four years and in West Kaysville for the past 53 years. OWEN WOODRUFF HORNE He graduated from high school. He was a member of the Kaysville 21st LDS Ward where he had served as bishop's counselor and home teacher. He was active in the YMMIA and scouting program. He had been an ordinance worker at the Ogden LDS Temple. He was a member of the Davis County Canning Association where he served as secretary; p; Im- provement Association; was a member of the Sugar Beet Growers Association and the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. Surviving are five sons and one Utah-Idah- o daughter, Harold 0. Horne, Brigham City; Dr. L. Thad Home, Layton; David C. Home, Fruit Heights, Marvin K. Horne and Kenneth J. Home, both of Kaysville; Carolyn H. Mhyre, Rancho Cordova, Calif.; 36 grandchildren and 42 He was preceded in death by one son. Services were held Jan. 3 1 at the Kaysville Tabernacle with Bishop H. Jaques succumbs at 87 Thomas Delbert Jaques, 87, of E. 2750 S., Bountiful, died Friday, Jan. 30, 1987 at a Bountiful hospital of penumonia. ' He was bom Sept. 4, 1899 in Layton to John Franklin and Isabelle Wilson Bruce Jaques. Jessie Myrtle Sim rHe married Aug. 21, 1919 in the Logan LDS Temple. He had lived in Layton for 31 years, Clearfield for 53 years and in Bountiful the past three years. He spent his early life farming, worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, and was a bookkeeper for a trucking firm. He was chief of the motor pool at Hill Air Force Base, retiring after 25 years of service. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as high priest, ward clerk and in various other positions. " Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Dale D. Jaques, Kays-yillKeith H. Jaques and Mrs. ' e; He was bom Aug. 16, 1920 in Fort Collins, Colo., a son of Loyd and Elizabeth Gerhardt Summers. He married Dottie B. Ham Sept. 14, 1943 in Temple, Texas. He had served with the U.S. Air Force for 35 years. He served as Worshipful Master of the Gateway Masonic Lodge No. 29 F&AM of Clearfield, High Priest of Ogden Chapter No. 2, Illustrious Master of Ogden Council No. 3, Eminent Commander of El Monte Commandery No. 2 of Ogden York Rites Bodies. He received the Knight of York Rite Cross Honor. He was a member of the Royal Order of Scotland of Utah. In the Scottish Rite he was Commander Court of Honor and was a member of the El Kalah Shrine. Surviving are his widow of Layton, one son and one daughter, Randall Summers, Roy; Sylvia Garcia, Clearfield; and two He married Eva May Jan. 1, 1946 in Worland, Texas. He moved to Utah from Idaho in 1944 and resided in the Layton, Kaysville area until his death. He was a sheet metal worker at Che-nowet- LOYD HERB SUMMERS Also surviving are his mother of Denver, Colo.; one sister and one brother, Bettye Johnson, Denver, Colo.; Lauren Summers, Greeley, Colo. JOHN EDWIN TAYLOR Hill Air Force Base retiring in 1974 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Layton 31st LDS Ward. Dedication of the grave was by Lenny Bosso with interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronald Henderson, Max Webster, Ernie Webster, Ed Chenoweth, Mel Webster, George Taylor, Brent Williams and Les Kraft. Surviving are his widow of Layton, one son and one daughter, John E. Taylor, Mrs. Lenny at (Kathy) Bosso, both of Kaysville; Services were held Feb. 4 Lindquists Clearfield Mortuary with Pastor Larry Dobson officiating. Masonic services were held both at the chapel and graveside. Interment in the Clearfield City Cemetery. and six grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Leonard Taylor, San Diego, Calif.; George Taylor, Bea Williams, both of Idaho Falls, Ida. Morgan rites held Carl Leonard Morgan, 59, died Feb. 3, 1987 at his Las Vegas home after a battle with cancer. Bom Sept. 1, 1927 in Layton to Leonard and Iva Anderson Morlagan. Married Margaret Pearson; ter divorced. Married Rose Niederhauser Bollinger. Retired conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad. Member, LDS Church.
