Show L, MAY 5, 1987 Dubin rites held (JDTHrttmaiipy Annette Claire Thompson Dubin, 92, of 287 Glens Place, Layton, died Wednesday, April 15, 1987 in a Bountiful nursing home of causes incident to age. She was bom March 22, 1895 in Chatfield, Minn., a daughter of Ed- I. Marie Zaugg succumbs at 83 ward and Anna Johnson Thompson. Inez Marie Mangelson Zaugg, 83, of 1619 W. 700 S., Syracuse, died Friday, April 24, 1987 at a Bountiful nursing home of causes incident to age. She was born Feb. 6, 1904 in Levan, Utah, a daughter of Charles A. and Emma Nielsen Mangelson. She married Karl David Zaugg, Sept. 12, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS She married Alex Dubin June 1 , Nev. He died in 1959. She was reared in Chatfield, Minn., had lived in Chicago, 111., 195 1 in Elko, She was reared in Levan and had lived in Syracuse for the past 51 years. She attended Juab County High School. She was a homemaker and had worked for the school lunch program at Clearfield High School. She was a member of the Syracuse st LDS Ward, where she had served as a leader and teacher in all of the auxiliaries. She had served two missions, one with her husband in Mississippi and one in She had been a visiting teacher for over 50 years. She served as an Ogden LDS Temple ordinance worker for five years. She had served as president of the Syracuse PTA. 1 Col-oard- o. The program, which took place in her home, included art songs, religious numbers and pieces from Broadway musicals. Those participating were: Scott Speirs, Norma Ott, Janean Sanders, Jodi Hansen, Amy Allen, Jennifer Winters, Janet Hunter, Susan Johnston, Kristin Wilson and Rebecca Muhlstein. Lou Ann Lyman served as accompanist. with Wash. She had lived in Layton for the past 25 years. She graduated from Chatfield High School. She obtained her teaching certificate and also attended the University of North Dakota. She had worked as a transportation clerk at Hill Air Force Base. She had also worked at Sears. Surviving are several nephews and nieces. Services were held April 17 at DUTCH DO? He was bom Aug. 11, 1956 in Ogden, a son of Jim M. and Sharon Hansen Clark. He married Lisa Davis on April 9, 1984 in South Weber. He had served with the U.S. Air Force. He had been a warehouse packer for Hill Air Force Base for the past six years. Surviving are his widow of Syra-cus- e and one daughter, Aurora Dawn Clark, Syracuse. Also surviving are his parents of South Weber, three brothers, Michael L. Clark, South Weber; Robert P. Fickett May 5, 1952 in Kaysville. She was an avid artist and enjoyed music. She was raised in Kaysville and moved to Layton where she had resided for the past 33 years. She graduated from Davis High School. She was a member of the Layton 11th LDS Ward where she served as Primary teacher, Sunday School teacher and visiting teacher. Shf had also been a den mother. She was a member of the Layton Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Past Presidents Club. Surviving are her husband of Layton; three sons and one daughter, Craig S. Fickett, Layton; Scott F. Fickett, Sunset; Guy Norman Fickett, Murray; Mrs. Hamid (Jill) Mojabi, Murray; nine grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Wallace S. Torvund dies at age 58 Dorothy Dot Mae Benik Torvund, 58, of 511 E. Wasatch Drive, Layton, died Thursday, April 23, 1987 at the Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful of a stroke. She was bom May 17, 1928 in Mile City, Mont., a daughter of John and Beulah Mue Hobbs Benik. Bert" She married Lawrence Torvund March 28,1945 in Ogden, Utah. He died April 17, 1987. She was reared in Montana and had lived in Layton since 1946. She graduated from high school in Mile City, Mont. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Layton. She was past member of the Layton Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and past member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She had worked as a dried flower arranger at the floral shop at Hill Air Force Base. Surviving are one son and two daughters, Larry J. Torvund and Mrs. Gary L. (Ivana) Strong, both of Layton; Mrs. Marshall (Karla) Bishop, Kennewick, Wash.; seven grandchildren. She was bom March 17, 1922 in Mt. Sterling, Utah, a daughter of n Hyrum John and Lucy Ingri Kidman. She married Verl T. Dahl Nov. 3, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Bun-derso- Temple. She owned and operated a beauin her home and in the community. She lived in Stone, Ida. until the age of seven. She lived in Peters-borUtah for 11 years and in Syracuse for the past 37 years. She graduated from South Cache High School and the Ogden Beauty College. She was a member of the Syracuse 6th LDS Ward where she served as Relief Society president. Gospel Doctrine instructor, Sunday School teacher and leader. She had also served in the stake Relief Society presidency. She had served in the MIA and Primary for many years. She had also served a fulltime mission in California. She was a member of the Variety Anns Womens Club for 37 years. She was a member of the Utah Cosmetology Association. Surviving are her husband of Syracuse, two sons and two daughters, Brett E. Dahl, Austin, Tex.; Kim V. Dahl, Syracuse; Mrs. Craig H. (Verlynn Kay) Hess and Mrs. K. O. (Tonya Lee) Murdock, both of Layton; and six grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and one sister. Oriel Kidman, Petersboro, Utah; Milton V. Kidman, Slaterville; Clyde W. Kidman, Brigham City; Mrs. Robert S. (Mary) Graves, Plain City. Services were held April 22 at the Syracuse 6th Ward with Bishop Boyd Beazer officiating.
