I am a boy o 18 and I date a girl of; 13. She looks and acts 1$ or 16. She is fun to be with and I would appreciate your1 opinion on whether it is proper for me to continue dating a girl so young in years?" Ans. There's1 no etiquette rule that makes it "proper" or "improper" to date a girl who is five years younger than than you. ut practical common sense shows that you'd be wiser to date a girl nearer your own age. Five yeari' difference isn't so much, later in life but in the 'teens, there's too much difference between your social and dating experience and hers, You're finishing high "school and she has't begun it. When she'o interested in high school, you'll be away to college or on a job. Besides, your' date pastimes, and privileges should be different. In the long run, you'll both be happier dating in your own age. group. Q "Dear Miss Williams: I am a boy of 17 and. go with a girl who is 15. I like her very much and she seems to like me. K four-sessio- j Katherine Jones Is Queen Large Group Of Nelke Members Hears Program "This is the age of dissonance," said Mrs. Gustive O. Larson, as she began her program on "Modern Music" for a large group of Nelke Club members and their guests. Thursday afternoon at the Provo Department of Utilities Building. Mrs. Larson explained what modern music is. She said that many people find the discords harsh and unpleasing. She explained that in modern music there is an entirely different use of melody, harmony and rhythm The speaker stated that Bach was the first "western" composer and the man who figured out piano fingering. Gerihany dominated the music world for two centuries, she said and then spoke .of the .difference in classic and romantic forms. She felt that Richard Wagner was the greatest composer of romantic music. Debussy threw off the German inflv.ence and experimented vth impressionism. The speaker felt that beauty in composition is returning. Mrs. Larson then pleased the group by playing selections from many composers of many styles. Mrs. Fern BrimKall, club pres , - - ' ident conducted the program. Mrs. W. H. Boyle read a poem and Mrs. Edith Y. Booth introduced the speaker. The 'afternoon was further enhanced as the group enjoyed a display of paintings by local artist, Prof. B. Ft Larsen.
