Also, she read poems by other Utah composers. A tasty lunch was served, din ing which plans were outlined for a Hallowe'en party. In attendance were: Mrs. Leo P. Olson Wednesday evening, Mrs. James Peay was released as president and Mrs. Hannah Cardall was elected in her place. Mrs. Melda Hacking gave an interesting in-teresting review of the book, "The Robe." Mrs. Cornelia Green sang a solo. Mrs. Yvonne Holt Newell left Saturday for a vacation trip to Los Angeles where she will visit with relatives and friends. Paul Penrod of the U. S. navy is home on furlough and is visiting visit-ing with his wife. Mrs. Deliaht Holt Penrod and their young son, Steven. Mrs. Maryhale Woolsey of Salt Lake City visited with her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Hannah Stewart, at the M. F. Crandall home Thurs day. The following relatives from Orem went to Idaho Falls, Idaho, during the week to attend the funeral services of Orson P. Burr, Mrs. Julia C. Burr, Henry Burr, Mr. and Mrs. LeEarl Burr, Mrs. Eine B. BOrr-ville. Orson Burr was the son of Mrs. Julia C. Burr of Orem i and until five years ago had made his home at Rigby, Idaho, when he moved to Idaho Falls. Interment was at Rigby. Mrs. Sterling Patten has re turned to her home at Sprine City after a two weeks' visit with her husband's parents, 'Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Patten. Mrs. Patten had Just returned from Texas where she had spent the summer near Camp Maxey, where her husband T-Sgt. Sterling Patten was located. T-Sgt. Sewing Classes Free To Adults i Auuit sewing classes will begin In the near future according to Ellen Walker who is in charge of adult education for the Provo school district. One of the classes, "Learning to Sew" is especially designed for young mothers and other women who would like this type of information. This class will oe taught by Margaret O. Harris who has her master's degree from Columbia university, and is now teaching in the clothing department depart-ment at the B.Y.U. The other class is for sewers who would like help with remodeling re-modeling and tailoring problems The teacher, Marcella H. Skinner, Skin-ner, is well known in Provo for her work with other clothing construction classes. Both of these classes are offered of-fered to the public by the Provo school district and no fees are charged for any of the work.
