Show Lyean Johnson Is Elected Teachers Association Prexy Lyean Johnson was elected president pres-ident of the Alpine Education Association As-sociation at a meeting held in Pleasnat Grove High School Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Jan. 20. Other officers that were chosen to work with Mr. Johnson for the coming year are Quinn Hatch of Lincoln ' as first vice president, Basil Dorton of Lehi as second vice president, and a building representative from each of the 16 schools in the dist.ict. Easil Dorton, retiring president, was in charge of the meeting and ether items of ousiness that was presented in addition to the election elec-tion was a discussion by Allen M. West, executive secretary of the Utah Education Association. Mr. West discussed the result of the recent legislation and its effect ef-fect upon the Alpine School District. Dis-trict. Other retiring officers were Margaret Hayes of Pleasant Grove as retiring first vice president, Mr. ,Snow of Lehi as secretary, and the following board of governors: Dean Prior of Lehi, George Scott of American Fork, A. J. Rogers of Pleasant Grove, Edgar Booth of Orem and John Nicholes of Orem. |
