Show AAUW Meets on Monday for March Meeting The American Association of University Women held their March meeting on Monday evening eve-ning at the home of Mrs. Lola Taylor. President Ramona Jacobs presided and presented matters of business, one of wliich was the contribution by the members of fifty ($50.00) dollars to the swimming pool fund. Election of new officers were held and outgoing out-going president Ramona Jacobs, First vice president, Bethel Allied, All-ied, 2nd vice president, Thelma Martell and secretary Lola Taylor Tay-lor were succeeded by new President Pres-ident Emily Pedersen, First vice president, Ramona Jacobs, Second Sec-ond vice president, Jennie Gleas-on, Gleas-on, and secretary, Marjorie Holdaway. Treasurer Retta Crease Cre-ase was held in off iosi for another term. Rose Radmall reviewed "The Naked Communist" by Cleone Skpusen and stimulated a discussion discus-sion among the' members concerning con-cerning the obligation oof American Ameri-can citzens to. combat communism commun-ism in this country. Members Emily Pedeirson, Merle Mer-le Christiansen, Mildred Ferre, Edna Newman, Jennie Gleason, Retita Crease, Leaonei Carson, Bethel Allred, Mildred Rasband, Eva Reimschissel, Deane Paulson, Paul-son, Marjorie Holdaway, Margaret Margar-et Holdaway, Margaret Hayes, and Ethel Woolston were served refreshments "by the hostess, Lola Taylor and co-hostess Norma Nor-ma Hales. |
