Show 1 i Pleasant Grove Locals ! S. A. Kirk made a business trip to Duchesne Saturday and Sunday. Junius J. Hayes of Salt Lake City, was a Pleasant Grove visitor on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Clark and daughter, Joyce spent Tuesday in Salt Lake City on a business trip. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wright moved mov-ed to Draper Saturday and will make their home there. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Swenson of Provo, were guests of Pleasant Grove relatives Sunday.. Mrs. Emma Peterson of Salt Lake City is visiting indefinitely with her sister, Mrs. H. I. Wright. The Misses Helen Weeks, Thelma Walker and Angelyn Warnick are j attending summer school at the U. J S. A. C. at Logan. Mrs. Annie Turner left Saturday for Los Angeles, Calif., to visit with her son, Arthur, who is employed in a garage there. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. William Bullock and his daughter, May, and husband left Wednesday for a trip to Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Cullimore of Salt Lake City, were week-end visitors visi-tors of Mrs. Regina Thorne. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bezzant and family motored to Farmington Sunday Sun-day and spent the day visiting with friends. Mrs. Ethan Peay returned home to Cameron, Arizona, Thursday evening eve-ning after visiting hree weeks with Ogden Friday and visited with Mr. Robertson's brother, S. L. Robertson, and family. Miss Margaret Lee returned home Sunday from Toledo, Ohio, where she has been visiting for the past month with her fiance Joe Sobczak, and his family. She reports a very pleasant visit. Mrs. Martha Johnson, and daughter, daugh-ter, Vola, and Cyril Walker motored to Hurricane Saturday, where they were guests of Mr. Hancock, a friend j of the family. They returned home I Sunday evening. i j Mr. and Mrs. Lee Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine, Swenson and Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Thorne expect to leave Friday evening for Fish Lake to spend the Fourth of July there. They will return home Monday Mon-day morning. Mrs. Merle Coombs was in Salt relatives here. Little Miss Jewell Frampton, daughter of Mr. and .Mrs. Bert Frampton, will be queen of the Fourth of July parade at Provo on July 3. The parade begins at 7:30 p. m. at Pioneer Park. More than 600 children will participate. Richard, the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Ford M. Poulson, had the misfortune mis-fortune to fall from a swing at the family home Tuesday morning and fracture both bones in the left forearm. fore-arm. Dr. B. C. Linebaugh was called call-ed in to take care of Richard. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Featherstone of Salt Lake City were guests of Mrs. Featherstone's mother, Mrs. Bell Baxter, Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Leland A. Clark left Saturday for Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, to make their home. Mr. Clark will ; be instructor in the University of Nebraska next year. Roy Baum was operated on June 17 at the Aird hospital in Provo for sinus trouble. He is convalescing at the home of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Laura Keetch. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HOLDS MEETING At the regular Chamber of Commerce Com-merce meeting held Wednesday the final arrangements were made to construct a heavy wire fence, with steel posts 10 feet high around Strawberry Gardens. This wire fence will be painted white with the posts green. Lake City Tuesday to visit with ner daughter-in-law, Mrs. J. Wendell Coombs and her little grandson, John, of Washington, D. In the afternoon after-noon they all motored to Park City via Heber and returned home via Parley's canyon. They report a very pleasant trip. Mrs. Clesson Buhler of Pioche, Nevada, has been visiting three weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Boren. Mr. Buhler came from Pioche the last of the week and they will return home together. to-gether. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Banks and daughter, Louise, left the first of the week for Berkeley, Calif., via Nevada. Neva-da. Miss Louise will visit with Nevada relatives while her parents go to Berkeley. Mr. Banks will attend at-tend a summer school course there. King Drysdale who has been employed em-ployed during the- past year by the Grant Chain Stores at Berkeley, Calif., is visiting during a two weeks' vacation with his mother, Mrs. Thomas Fenton and family. He is stockroom foreman .at the store and likes his work. Flood lights will be installed at the right places. There will be an orchestra stand erected on the north side of the High School shop; and all will be painted to harmonize. The funds for equipping the place will be furnished by the Alpine School Board, City Officials and the Chamber of Commerce. All are de-sireous de-sireous of making this property an additional beauty spot in our nicely located community center. i First Lieutenant, Charles E. Hart, Obs Sqdn., who is stationed for the summer with the Spike Camps at Kamas and Soapstone, returned to camp Monday for the purpose of getting supplies and attending to camp business.
