Preschool Story Time classes are for children 3 to 5 years old. Each week features fea-tures stories, finger plays, songs, rhymes, and crafts based on the theme "Heads and Toes" to help children discover various occupations. occupa-tions. Choose Tuesday, Wednesday, Wednes-day, or Thursday at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., or 1 p.m. for a fun filled 40 minute session. Registration fee is $5 for the eight week session. Wee Read is a toddler class for children 18 months to 3 years old. This 30-minute 30-minute class is held every Friday at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and noon. Sessions Ses-sions are held on Mondays at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Each class lasts for about 35 minutes. Children learn music making, mak-ing, movement, chanting, listening, and singing. Registration is required for Music and Movement, and the library requests that children who have already taken this class let others have a chance to enroll in this popular class. The fee is $5 for the winter session. The Young Adult Book Group is an ongoing group for youth age 13-17. This group meets every Thursday Thurs-day at 7 p.m. with librarian Linda Bothers. The After School Special is a fun-filled afternoon for children in grades K-6. On Thursday, January 15 at 4:30 p.m. the library will celebrate cel-ebrate "Volunteer Fireman Day." A fireman will come speak about fire safety and children will play games to reinforce what they learn. The After School Special is free, but tickets are required. Tickets may be obtained at the library's front desk. Miss Kammi's stories are popular at the library's free "Twilight Tales" program pro-gram held every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Come and enjoy an evening of storytelling sto-rytelling on the story rug in the downstairs multi-purpose room. Miss Kammi's stories are for children of all ages. No registration is required for Twilight Tales, just come right in.
