Show Mary 1. Carlson Dies Following Long Illness Mary B. Carlson, 79, died at her home Monday July 13 of general debility, after several months illness. ill-ness. She was bom in Sweden, March 12, 1859, and came to Utah in 1877, coining directly to Pleasant Grove, where she has since resided. She married Isaac Carlson soon after she came to Pleasant Grove. She has been an active L. D. S. church worker, having been a teacher in the Relief Society. She was the mother of ten children, chil-dren, six of whom survive as follows: fol-lows: Ray Carlson, Albion, Idaho; Hyrum Carlson, Charleston; Mi's. Milton Jacobs, Mrs. William K. Aston As-ton and Isaac E. Carlson, Pleasant Grove; also her husband, Isaac Carlson, Carl-son, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday Thurs-day at 2 p. m. in the Timpanogos stake tabernacle; with Bishop F. D. Atwood of the Third ward in charge of the services. The speakers were James H. Walker, Stake President W. W. Wamick and M. S. Christiansen, Christ-iansen, with closing remarks by Bishop F. D. Atwood. Musical numbers rendered includ- ed a Relief Society chorus, "Come, Come Ye Saints"; a solo, "O My Father," by a grandson, Milton Ja-obs; Ja-obs; a duet by Stella Hardman and Viola Beers, and a trio, "A Perfect Per-fect Day," by Anna Fugal, Annie Gardner and Helen Nelson. The invocation was given by Chris Fugal and the benediction was pro-nounced pro-nounced by H. M. Nelson. Inter -j me.nt was in the Pleasant Grove I cemetery. |
