He also tended College of Southern Utah. f- Following his marriage I he and his wife lived in sagus and Big Bear, I Calif., working for the f U.S. Forest Service for 10 years. They moved to Monticello 10 years ago where he worked as assistant ranger for the Forest Service. He worked one-and-one-half years in Fish Lake as a district ranger. He was a member of the LDS Church having served as a branch president, stake high council, and as a stake missionary. He was active in the scouting program. He and his four oldest sons received Eagle Scout awards. Survivors include his wife of Monticello; six sons: Allen Kyle, serving an LDS mission in the California, Ar cadia mission; Glen Robert, to enter the MTC on Oct. 6; Kevin Donald, Darren Huff, Ryan Lance, and Landon Jessie, all Monticello; his mother Mrs. Wilson (Elda) Hayward, Lehi; four brothers and one sister-Jerry sister-Jerry Carter, Wellington; Mrs. Marilyn Jensen, Murray; Dennis Day, Washington; Brian Day, Provo, and Dick Day, Idaho. Funeral was Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Monticello Stake Center. Burial was at Monticello Mon-ticello City Cemetery under the direction of Huff-Linde Funeral Home, Spanish Fork. j Wade A. Hansen I Wade Alexander J Hansen, 26, Huntington, Utah, died Sept. 24, 1987, ;e near Woodside, Utah, in '. a traffic accident. : He was born Nov. 22, i960, in American Fork i to Sherrill A. and ' Patricia Hansen. He married Diane Nielsen on June 17, 1982, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. At the time of his , death, he was a deputy sheriff for the Emery County Sheriff's Department. While at Die Police Academy he ) received an award for the highest academic ' achievement in his class. He graduated from American Fork High School, where he was i active in sports and debate. He played baseball, football and if basketball from his i early youth. He loved all 1 the life of a fellow UTC student who had sustained a severe neck injury. He was a member of the LDS Church, holding the office of elder at the time of his death. He worked with the scouts in his ward. He is survived by his wife, Huntington, Utah; one son and one daughter, Brandon Alexander and Lacy Dawn, bott of Huntington; Hun-tington; parents Sherill and Patricia Hansen, Highland; two sisters, Mrs. Jeff (Cheryl) Turner, American Fork and Melissa Hansen, Highland. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 26, 1987, in Huntington. Burial was in the Huntington City Cemetery. 1 sports. He attended and graduated from Utah Technical College in Provo, where he served on the student council for two years. While there he coached a little league and a pony league baseball team. Price Evelyn Inez Walker n .Price, 67, of Pleasant Grove, died Thursday, ,'i Sept. 24, 1987 at the j Utah Valley Regional ' Medical Center. She was born Dec. 31, IMinValdosta, Ga., to Allred James and Alice Sarah Moore Walker. She married Earl M. Price June 21, 1939 in J Inglewood, Calif. The "j marriage was later solemnized in the Los i Angeles LDS Temple. I She was an active 1 member of the LDS ( Church, living in the Pleasant Grove 6th i rd. She had served II 'te Primary as a 'her and secretary lor many years. She "'so enjoyed genealogy work. s She had worked as a I volunteer grandmother J 'he Highland schools. " spent her early life 111 Georgia, attending iools in Jacksonville, Fla. and New York City, where she graduated from high school. She spent many years in Inglewood, Calif., living in the Bellflower 3rd Ward before moving to Pleasant Grove in 1977. She is survived by her husband of Pleasant Grove; one son, two daughters: Mrs. Neil (Karen) Hadlock, Highland; Mrs. William (Kathleen) Barnhart, Bennion; Kerry Price, Midvale; 12 grandchildren; grand-children; two brothers: Jesse Walker, Florida, and Otis Walker, California. Services were held Monday, Sept. 28, in the Pleasant Grove Sixth Ward under the direction of Bishop Neil Christensen. Pallbearers were Robert Boulter, Thales Smith, Jack Christensen, Ben Miller, Roy 'Young and Max Thorne. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons Aaron Barnhart, Tyler Price, Brandon Price, Timothy Price, Zachary Hadlock, Benson Hadlock, Taylor Hadlock, and John Hadlock. The family prayer was given by Kerry Price. Laurel Thorne played the prelude and postlude. The invocation was by Kathy Barnhart. William Barnhart gave the life sketch and vocal numbers were presented by Laura and Robert Wilson. Speakers were Bishop Dale Warburton and Bishop Christensen.' The benediction was by LaMar Fairbanks. The grave was dedicated by Bishop Cloyd Christiansen. |
