Show Fire Ladies offer extinquishers to public been selected as a pilot state for the program. All families will be encouraged to hold an exit drill from the home during the televised fire drill. This program will be sponsored by McDonalds and will be held during Fire Prevention Week. The Pleasant Grove Firemen's Auxiliary have 10-pound ABC fire extinguishers available for a $15 donation. Carolyn Smith of the Auxiliary said that the donation price is below cost. These extinguishers will put out any kind of small fire, she said. The Auxiliary will use the funds from this project to finance their fire safety education this year as their federal grant has run out. The Auxiliary goes into each of the schools in Pleasant Grove and Lindon to teach fire safety. The cost of handouts, video tapes and other supplies is quite expensive. Only a limited number of the fire extinguishers are available. Those who are interested should conctact Carolyn at 785-4744, Eberle Smith at 785-2583 or Fire Chief Ray Newman. .
