KING, (Car-ma Terry) Reception Held In First-Fifth Ward Chapel For Mr. and Mrs. Gerald King Prominent in spring nuptial news is the Salt Lake LDS Temple wedding- last Wednesday which united in marriage Carina Terry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dilworth Terry of Pleasant Grove and Gerald C. King, son of Mr. Clifton King of Springrville'. The impressive ceremony was solemnied by President EdRay Christianson in the presence of close friends and relatives. Parents of the bride were hosts at a beautifully appointed reception recep-tion the same evening in the First-nFifth Ward hall. The theme of "Yellow Roses" was oarried out to provide the decor. The bride was striking in an original full leng'th gown of hand-clipped hand-clipped chantilly lace and crystal nylon tulle. Lace covered the slim bodice and extended to form lilly-point lilly-point sleeves. The scalloped pattern pat-tern of the lace formed a flattering flatter-ing sabrina neckline, aeoented by sequins and seed pearls. Chantilly panels and large appliques of lace adorned the front of the bouffant skirt. She wore a misty veil of illusion caught to a bride's crown of seed pearls. Yellow roses formed form-ed the lovely bride's bouquet. Diane Gammon was maid of honor. Attendants were Kathleen King, Bonnie Barton, Mary Lou Makin and Delia Terry. The attendants at-tendants were attired in dresses designed alike of yellow ohrysta-line ohrysta-line and carried oolonial bouquets in dainty yellow 'and white. Paul King performed duties of best man for his brother. Special guests were the bride's grandmothers, grand-mothers, Mrs. Elsie Draper of Milford and Mrs. Sophia Terry of Alpine. The bride's mother wore a pink sheath 'afternoon dress with a corsage for the special occasion. occa-sion. Mrs. Joe Martinez;, sister of the groom, stood in the reoeiving line with their father. She wore a green gown decorated with a corsage. Mr. and Mrs. Welby Gammon and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Boyle greeted guests at the door. Betty Frampton presided over the guest register. A program was enjoyed during the evening. Assisting with the serving were Saundra Healey, Karen Walker, Dorothy Devey, Norma Jean Terry, Sheila Mitchell Mit-chell and Barbara Ann Robbins. Mrs. George Barton and Mrs. Ru-lon Ru-lon Western arranged the gift display. Following their honeymoon the couple will moke their home in Layton where the groom will be employed at Hill Air Force Base. |
