Show Norma Winters and Dee Freeman Wed in Temple The Salt Lake LDS Temple on Friday was the scene of the wedding wed-ding of two popular young people of this city, Norma Winters and Dee M. Freeman. The bride is the daughter of Norma ami t lie late A. R. Winters, while th groom's parents are Zelda and the late Justin Freeman. The marriage ceremony was performed by Elder Willard L. Jones. Witnessing the impressive ceremony cere-mony were the bride's mother, the groom's aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Howley of Provo and Mrs. Albert Bowen, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Belliston, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Farr, Mrs. Hazel Bullock, Bull-ock, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fordham and Mr. and Mrs. Blake Fordham. On the evening of June 25 the popular young couple were honored hon-ored at a reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Prestwich, sister and brother-in-law of the bride. The young couple were assisted in greeting friends by their mothers. moth-ers. The charming bride was unattended unat-tended and received friends in a dainty gown of white swiss with pink velvet trim enhanced by a lovely corsage of pink and white feathered carnations. The two mothers wore afternoon dresses, Mrs. Winters navy blue and Mrs.' Freeman pink. Both pinned pink roses and white carnations car-nations on their shoulders. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Prestwich greeted guests at the door. Mrs. Erma Klemm presided over the serving table. She was assisted by Viola Beers and Mrs. Hazel Bullock. Bul-lock. Young ladies who served were Colleen Bowen, Ila Jean Walker, Marilyn Goodrich, Linda Peterson, and Kay Nelson. The very lovely gift display was arranged by Mrs. Keith Anderson, Ander-son, Mrs. Norman Winters and Mrs. Alden Winters. Young gift bearers were Bryce Anderson, Tommy and Janis Prestwich. Mary Winters, sister of the bride, looked look-ed after the registration of the guests. The Prestwich home was beautiful beauti-ful and charmingly arrayed with colorful summer blooms. Each nook and comer of the rooms, as well as the flower boxes, held roses and other colorful blooms over which floor and table lamps cast a warm soft glow. With this romantic background the bride and groom received relatives and friends. The newlyweds are at home in the Don Gray apartments on West Center. |
