AND MRS PRESTON CROOK (Mary Peterson) Mary Peterson Weds Preston Crook ' At Church Wedding On June 6th I An archway of pink peonies and pink roses formed a romantic setting set-ting for the marriage of lovely Mary Peterson and Preston Crook in the First-Fifth Ward chapel on June 6, where Keith Miller, bishop of the Second Ward, officiated at the impressive rites. The attractive bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ern-est Crook of Tooele are parents of the groom. Only relatives and very close friends witnessed the ceremony. cere-mony. Later in the evening a reception complimented the young couple. The bride received friends in a gown of silk polished cotton, the full skirt falling in tiers of ruffles to floor length. The fitted bodice featured a V neckline and softly rolled collar and short sleeves. Her elbow length veil of sheer illusion il-lusion fell from a dainty tiara. She carried a gorgeous white orchid nestled in stephanotis. Hor attendants, all in similarly styled gowns of pure silk shang-tung shang-tung in pink and green, were Mrs. John Llewelyn, Mrs. Rose Urie, Mrs. Petie Katsis, Miss LaVon Ad-amson Ad-amson and Miss Lynda Peck. All held white spider mum nosegays. Best man duties were assumed by Richard Femae, while Richard Griffith and Ed Crook ushered. Both mothers wore green summer sum-mer gowns and pinned white silver mums on their shoulders. Assisting with decorations and arrangements arrange-ments were Mrs. Lyean Johnson, Mrs. Jerry Hill, Mrs. Edward Roberts Rob-erts and Mrs. LeRoy Ash who arranged ar-ranged the trousseau display. Miss Anna Rose Peck, niece of the bride, presided over the dream wedding cake. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Bart Crook welcomed guests at the door. Acting hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Peterson and Mrs. Wesley Jense. Mrs. Lynn Peck presided over the dining area, assisted by Mary Jeanne Crompton, Kathy Johnson, Sharon Storrs, Deanna Devereau, Deanne Thornton and Kathy Crook. The lovely gift display was arranged ar-ranged by Mrs. Lindy Crompton. She was assisted by Mrs. Weldon Adams and Mrs. Richard Griffith. Young gift bearers were Jimmy, Billy, and Danny Peck; Jimmy, Gary and Gayla Peterson, and Connie Crompton. Kathy Allred handled the guest registry. Having returned from a short honeymoon, the newlyweds have established a home in Salt Lake City. |
