Show Bride Of Next Week Honored Last Sunday Beautifully arranged was the trousseau tea given by Mrs. Irwin Ir-win Jensen at her home in Pleasant Grove Sunday afternoon after-noon in honor of her daughter Miss Lyravine Jensen who will be married to James Nash Grant, American Fork. Mr. Grant is the son of Mrs. Knord Beck. December De-cember 22nd has been chosen as the wedding date and the young couple will be married at 5 p. m. at the home of the bride-elects parents. Over 200 friends and relatives called between three and six p. m. to see the lovely trousseau. A number came from Salt Lake City, Logan, Ogden, Provo, and Southern Utah. The guests were received by Mrs Jensen, Miss Jensen, Mrs. Beck, and also by Mrs. Earl Anderson, Salt Lake, sister of Mr. Grant, and Mrs. Lyman Rich, Logan, aunt olthe bride-to-be. Miss oensen was attirect in a lovely formal gown of whitf crepe, and wore a corsage of deep red roses. Mrs. Jensen, and Mrs. Beck wore black silk crepe and black s;lk lace respectively-Mrs. respectively-Mrs. Jensen's corsage was of pink carnations and Mrs. Beck's of red roses. Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Rich wore black and gray respectively. Mrs. Glenn A- Wright, sister of Mr. Grant, presided over the first display room which included in-cluded linens, bedding, silver, dishes, and appliances. In another an-other room the clothing and accessories of the bride elect were displayed with Mrs. Winn Carlisle, Salt Lake, another sister sis-ter of the groom-to-be in charge. Assisting Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Carlisle were Mrs- William Wil-liam Everett, Spanish Fork; Miss Jaqueline Kane, Provo, Miss Carol Smith and Miss Jean Anderson, Pleasant Grove, and Mrs. Reed Frischknecht, Salt Lake. The serving table was centered cen-tered with a handsomely decorated dec-orated wedding cake. Around the cake was a pretty arrangement arrange-ment of paper white narcissus and heather with green foliage. In the center was an orchid. Silver holly and white snap dragons decorated the mantle- A highlight of the afternoon was when Miss Jensen's sororit' sisters of the O. S. Trovata circled cir-cled the young couple under mistletoe in the living room and sang the sweetheart song and bride's songs. Miss Jensen is a graduate of the Pleasant Grove high school and of the Brigham Young University, Un-iversity, where she majored in clothing and design. Until recently re-cently she has been employed as secretary in the Pleasant Grove Canning Company office. Mr. Grant, a graduate of the high school here, attended the University of Utah prior to entering en-tering the service, where he spent three years, seven months of which were in Italy. He was in the infantry and was a dental den-tal laboratory technician- This spring he hopes to complete his pre-dental studies at the B.Y.U. |
