Show Funeral Held Last Thursday For Luella W. Harris Funeral rites were conducted Thursday June 19 for Luella W. Harris. The impressive service was held in the Timpanogos Stake House and was directed by Bishop Kenneth Gillman of Lindon Second Sec-ond Ward. Invocation was offered by Dean H. Walker, a brother-in-law, and was followed by a vocal solo, "That's What God Made Mother For", by Ray Shelley, accompanied accompani-ed by Mary Humphries. A life sketch of Mrs. Harris wos given by Elma Rat; Swenson. Speakers were Harold Erickson, Donna O. Ash and Boyd Anderson. Ander-son. All spoke of the busy, useful life of Mrs. Walker, and paid high tribute to hor as a wife and mother, and also to her fine children chil-dren whom she reared after their father's death. Interspersing the speakers was a vocal duet, "I'll Take My Vacation Vaca-tion in Heaven," by Glen Hales and Nadeon Adamson, accompanied accompani-ed by their mother, Mrs. Norma Hales. After closing remarks of sympathy sym-pathy and appreciation by Bishop Gillman, Pay Shelley sang the closing number, "O My Father." Prior to the church, service, praper at the mortuary was offered of-fered by Theron Whiteley. Prelude and postlude organ music was played by Melba Walser. Benediction Benedic-tion was pronounced by Orval Bawden. Interment, directed by Olpin Sundberg Mortuary, was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery where Eldon Swenson, a brother, offered the dedicatorial prayer. Pallbearers, all brothers, were Elden, Joseph, O. Lee, Wendell, Wesley and Orin Swenson. Flowers Flow-ers were cared for and arranged by Lindon Second Ward Relief Society. |
