Show Funeral Services Held Friday for Louise B. Viklund Impressive funeral rites were conducted on Friday, June 19 at 10 a.m. in the Lindon Ward Chapel for Louise B. Viklund, who died in an American Fork hospital following surgery Monday morning. morn-ing. The service -was directed by Bishop Kenneth H. Gillman of the Lindon Second Ward. Invocation was offered by Alma Al-ma W. Walser and the Singing Mothers chorus directed by As-eneth As-eneth Walser and accompanied by Helen Walser sang "Lead Kindly Light." A biographical sketch of the busy life of the departed was read by Bishop Kenneth C. Bullock, a nephew.. First speaker was Donna Ash, who told of her years of acquain-taince acquain-taince with Mrs. Viklund and her close friendship while Mrs. Viklund Vik-lund worked with the school lunch at Grovecrest and also uttered ut-tered words of faith and encouragement encour-agement to the family. Ellen Peterson and Audra Hool-ey Hool-ey sang "That Wonderful Mother of Mine." They were accompanied accompan-ied by Lorraine Ruffell, who also played prelude and poatlude organ or-gan music. Other speakers who paid tribute tri-bute to the noble life of the dead woman and offered words of consolation con-solation and gospel truths were Walter Holdaway and Bishop Leon Walker of Lindon Ward. Musical numbers were given by Rosalie Jacklin and Beverly Farr, an organ duet, "O My Fathr," and the Singing Mothers chorus sang the final number, "The Lord's Prayer." Prior to the church service, family prayer was offered by Boyd Warnick, a son-in-law. Benediction was pronounced by Charles Rodeback. Interment, directed by Olpin-Sundberg Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary, was made in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, Ceme-tery, where Alroy Gillman offered offer-ed the dedioatorial prayer. Pallbearers, all close relatives, included Glade Bullock, Glen Jor-gensen, Jor-gensen, Kayle Bullock, Max Jor-gensen, Jor-gensen, Harold R. Bullock and Mont Bullock. Flowers were cared for and arranged by the Lindon Second Ward Relief Society. |
