Show Funeral Rites for Ida May Berg Held Last Saturday Impressive funeral services for Mrs. Ida May Walker Berg, former for-mer resident of Pleasant Grove, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11 in the Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary, in this city. Mrs. Berg had been a resident of Eugene, Oregon for the past 20 years. The services, directed by Bishop Bish-op Harvey Smith, included inspiring in-spiring talks by Joseph S. Walker Walk-er and Bishop Smith. A life sketch of Mrs. Berg was read by Peggy Ann Weeks, a granddaughter. Musical numbers consisted of vocal trios by Stella Hardmon, Viola Beers and Hazel Bullock and a piano solo by Erma Swan-son. Swan-son. Rosalie JackUn was the accompanist. ac-companist. Family prayer was offered by Sanford S. Walker, a nephew, the invocation by Reed O. Walker Walk-er and the benediction by Heston Wilberg. The grave in the city cemetery was dedicated by Del-bert Del-bert Atkinson, a nephew. Pallbearers, grandsons and a great-grandson of Mrs. Bergs were Delbert Atkinson, Thomas Atkinson, Loyd Atkinson, Richard Rich-ard Weeks, Lorin Anderson and Michael Anderson. Flowers were cared for by the Manila Ward Relief Society. |
