Show Funeral Held for Effie H. Chipman Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Effie Harvey Chipman, native of Pleasant Grove, who died Saturday Satur-day morning at 2 a.m. at her home in Salt Lake City. She was born in Pleasant Grove, May 7, 1882 to Johnathan L. and Helen Alexander Harvey. She attended school and grew to womanhood here, and on Nov. 7, 1906 was married to Stephen R. Chipman in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Soon after their marriage, she and her husband served a mission. mis-sion. All her life she was active in the auxiliary organizations of the church and was a member of .Sugar House Camp DUP. She taught piano and was always active ac-tive in music circles. Survivors include her husband, one son, Reese H. Chipman, Bel-levue, Bel-levue, Wash.; three daughters, Helen C. Richards, Pease AFB, New Hampshire; Lucile C. Turner, Turn-er, Hollywoood, Calif.; Kathryn C. Wyant, Salt Lake City; three brothers, Leo P. Harvey, Pleasant Grove; Dr. Dean Harvey, Salt Lake City; William C. Harvey, Pacific Grove, Calif.; three sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Robert (Katherine) McOmie, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Willard (Florence) Tyler, Mira Loma, Calif.; and Mrs. Harold (Lucile) Walker, Pleasant Grove. |
