Show Funeral Is Held Friday For Mrs. Mary Olson Relatives and friends assembled Friday afternoon at the Second Ward LDS Chapel, to pay last respects to the memory of Pleas-ant's Pleas-ant's Grove last pioneer, Mary Clson, and to offer words of sympathy sym-pathy and appreciation to her family. The impressive services began at 2 p.m. with George Harris of the Manila Ward Bishopric, conducting. con-ducting. Invocation was offered by J. Reed Peterson. Warren P. Kirk, accompanied by Mrs. K. Adams, sang "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling." Speakers were B. H. Adams, former Bishop of the Second Ward; Patriarch L. M. Atwood, and President Vilace Radmall. Each paid tribute to the noble character of the aged pioneer, her thrift, neatness, love for the beau-iful beau-iful and her devotion to her family fam-ily and her church. Interspersing the speakers Mrs. S. W. Hilton and Elwood Allen sang a duet, "Hold Thou My Hand." They were accompanied by Miss Beverly Wright. Closing remarks were made by Mr. Harris, after which Mrs. E. Ray Brown sang the closing number, num-ber, "My Faith In Thee." She was accompanied by Mrs. K. Adams, who also played prelude and post-lude post-lude organ music. Benediction was pronounced by President Merrill N. Warnick. Interment directed by Olpin Mortuary was made in the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove City Cemetery, where the dedicatorial prayer -was offered offer-ed by Leslie Smith, a son in law. Prayer in the home, prior to the service, was led by Thomas Ludlow. Lud-low. Pallbearers were grandsons, including in-cluding Arvil Wadley, Bernell Smith, Marvin Olson, Clifton Wad-ley, Wad-ley, Verlyn Olson, Duane Thorne. Mrs. Olson died earlier in the week at the home of her daughter and son in law Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Wadley. |
