Show Services Set For Legionnaire Here In Fourth Ward Funeral services for John Mile-tich, Mile-tich, World War veteran and miner, will be held Saturday at 3 p m. in the Fourth L. D. S. ward chapel. Mr. Miletich died in the Veterans' hospital in Salt Lake City Wednesday, Wednes-day, where he was taken several weeks ago, suffering with a brain tumor. He was born January 10, 1891, in a European country. He came to America when six years old, with an uncle. He engaged in coal mining min-ing in Carbon county and Wyoming Wyom-ing most of his life. He was the first man to enlist in Carbon county for duty in the World War. He left Fort Douglas on April 12, 1917. He saw 27 months' service, 24 of which was in the Hawaiian Islands. He was a member of the American Legion. He had lived here since 1925. A mining partner of A. J. Butte, he had lived with Mr. Butte since 1919. Surviving are two brothers, Frank and Ivan, and three sisters in Europe. |
