Show Theron C. Holmes Dorothy S. Evans Theron Charles (Bally) Holmes, 65, of Lehi, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1986 in the American Fork Hospital of pneumonia. He was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Lehi, to David Henry and Rachael Mae Gurney Holmes. He married Aleene Bingham Gibbons, March 29, 1942, in St. Charles, Idaho. He was a heavy equipment operator for Shurtluff & Andrews Co. and was veteran of World War II. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was an avid rock hound and sportsman. sport-sman. He is survived by his wife of Lehi; two sons and three daughters: Theron Lloyd Holmes, Ferron, Utah; Elden Duane Holmes, Wellington; Mrs. Frank (Rebecca Aleene) Severson, Charleston; Mrs. Robert (Toni Kay) Martin and Mrs. Pamela Beffort, both of American Fork; 22 grandchildren; one ficiating. Lynell Hadfield performed the prelude and postlude music. Frank G. Severson offered the family prayer. The invocation was given by Bert Wilson. Speakers included Richard Christofferson, who gave the biographical sketch; Pres. Boyd 'Stewart; Michael Southwick; and Bishop Yates. Musical numbers, presented by Connie and Kenneth Grace, included in-cluded "Old Shep" and "Beyond the Moon." Danny Kirkham offered of-fered the benediction and Cap Martin dedicated the grave at the Lehi City Cemetery. Military Honors were presented by the . American Legion. Dorothy Smith Evans died Friday, Dec. 19, 1986 at Utah Valley Regional Medical ,Center, Provo, following a long illness. ; She was born Oct. 30, 11911 in Tridell, to Daniel 'Charles and Elizabeth Kitchen Smith. She married Neldon S. Evans April 3, 1933 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. ; Survivors include her husband, Lehi; two sons and three daughters: iMrs. Grant (Donna) iGordon, Mrs. JoAnn iEvans, Mrs. Richard ;(Sandra Jane) Wor-then, Wor-then, all of Lehi; Jay R. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 22, at the Lehi 2nd, 5th and 9th Ward Chapel, with Bishop Richard Ed-dington Ed-dington officiating. Jamie Evans offered the prelude and postlude music. The family prayer was given by Forrest Smith. Jay R. Evans gave the invocation. Speakers included Pres. Dean Worlton, Michael G. Smith, Alice Broadbent and JoAnn Evans. Musical numbers included a vocal duet by Vera Trane and Evelyn Woffinden, accompanied ac-companied by Eva Carson, who sang "That Wonderful Mother of Mine," and a selection by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The benediction was by Robert N. Evans, and Richard H. Worthen dedicated the grave site at the Lehi City Cemetery. Services for Theron Charley (Bally) Holmes, who died Dec. 16, 1986, were held Saturday, Dec. 20, in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, Lehi, with Bishop Don Yates of- Dorothy Southwick Don William Ainge Dorothy Aleene Jones Southwick, 80, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 1986, in an American Fork Day Care Center following an extended illness. She was born Feb. 9, 1906, in Lehi to Elias Morris and Myra Lenore Thomas Jones. She married John W. Southwick May 25, 1927, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She taught school in Magna and was secretary of the Lehi High School for 20 years. She was active in j all the Church I auxiliaries. She is survived by her ! husband of Lehi; one ! son, John J. Southwick, Richfield; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 23, in the Lehi 1st, 6th and 16th LDS Ward Chapel. He was born Jan. 3, , ; 1924, in Spanish Fork, to William and Sarah Hopes Ainge. He married Elsie May Curtis Jan. 2, 1948 in Casper, Wyoming. He worked as a fireman at Tooele Army Depot. He was a "yeteran of World War II. He had his own construction business ior several years. Services for Don William Ainge, who died Dec. 16, 1986, were held Zola Eleanor Adams Robbins, 87, of Orem, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1986 at her home in Orem of causes incident to age. She was born July 19, 1899 to Joseph H. and Colenda Chrilla Rogers Adams in Pleasant Grove. She married Charles Albert Robbins on Sept. 22, 1920 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 7, 1962. She was a member of the Orem Business Women's Club and the Orem-Provo Senior Citizens. She opened her home to numerous foster children and did volunteer work with Social Services. She was active in church activities all of her life until poor health prevented her from continuing. Survivors include two daughters and two sons: Clyde J. Robbins, Orem ; Dale A. Robbins, Layton; Mrs. R. (Reta) Dexter and Mrs. Ray (Betty) Carter, both of Orem; 26 grandchildren; grand-children; 50 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one; sister: Mrs. Errol W. (Evelyn) Robbins; one foster son, Raymond Dalton, White River, Ariz. Services were held Saturday, Dec. 20, in the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, Orem. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. She spent her 'childhood at Fruita, ('Colo. and attended .Grand Junction High School and Ross ; Business College in -Grand Junction. She eanred a degree in Business. t She married Robert J. Smith who died in J Boulder City, Nev. She was previously married to Edward Maher. She J lived in Grand Junction, Colo., where she worked Jfor the D&RGW. After . her marriage she Colo. She was a member of the Methodist Church, and a lifetime member of the Eastern Star,Rebekah Lodge, the Sunshine Chapter of E.E.S.; V.F.W. Auxiliary. The Sprott family was a pioneer family of the Grand Junction area. Her parents, John A. and Susan Jeanette Morris Sprott, are deceased. Survivors include a daughter, Lela Lockhard, Delta, Colo. ; and son, Robert K. Smith, Anaheim, Calif.; a sister, Nell Patten, Anaheim, Calif. ; nine grandchildren and 12 grea t-grandchildren. He was born Oct. 28, 1914 in Alpine to Claude C. and Mildred Hall Strong. He married Merle McKinney June 14, 1938 in Provo. He was a retired mine superintendent from U.S. Lark. He was noted for mining in the American Fork area in the Yankee and Globe mines. He was active in mining all over the western states. He was a member of the American Fork 11th Ward. He served in the scouting program. He is survived by his wife of American Fork; two sons and three daughters: Gary L. Strong and Ted C. Strong, both of American Fork; Mrs. Stewart (Joan) Street, Lehi; Mrs. Jim (Judy) Danklef, Pleasant Grove; Ms. Debra Strong, West Linn, Oregon; 11 grandchildren; grand-children; 5 great grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Gene (Nona) Wimmer, American Fork; Mrs. Ray (Lillian) Jones and Mrs. Myron (Loydece) Jones, both of Salt Lake City. He was a member of j the LDS Church and '' served as a High Priest '. in the Pleasant Grove ; 1st Ward. He instituted the Pink Ladies organization at the American Fork Hospital and the . Pleasant Grove Health Council. He was the -.first president and -'organizer of the ; Pleasant Grove Eagles JR.E.A.C. program and .' was also state president 1 of the R.E.A.C. 1 organization. . At the time of his ': death he was active in "Pleasant Grove and Utah County Sub-for-Santa programs. He was retired from Geneva Steel and had been a painter by trade.
