Show ( obituaries ) James L. Wagstaff later owned and operated a coin shop in San Luis Obispo, Calif., for many years. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Wagstaff, of San Luis Obispo; one daughter and two sons, Jeanette Hansen and Wayne Wagstaff, both of Provo; and James L. Wagstaff, Corpus Cristi, Tex.; seven grandchildren grand-children and 10 great grandchildren; one sister and one brother, Lola Evans, Park City, Utah; Roy Wagstaff, American Fork. Services will be held in San Luis Obispo, Calif., Friday, Dec. 7. James L. Wagstaff, 66, a former resident of American Fork, died Dec. 3, 1984, in his home in San Luis Obispo, Calif., following a brief illness. He was born Mav 12. 1918 in American Fork to Arthur Leon and Ladocia Mayberry Wagstaff and attended American Fork Schools. He married Lois Elizabeth Goodfellow on July 18, 1937. They were later divorced. He married Esther Eileen Kiepper of Van West, Ohio, on Aug. 12, 1952. He served with the U.S. Armed Forces in Europe during World War II. He was a cement contractor in Albuquerque, N.M., Bakersfield, Calif., and Paso Robles, Calif. He Clive J. Cooper i 4 - I- i Clive Joseph Cooper, 75, died Dec. 3, 1984 in American Fork. He was born Oct. 26, 1909 in Carey, Idaho, the son of Joseph Samuel and Julia Mirtis Stanford Cooper. He married Rena Dilworth May 25, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was educated in Carey, Idaho and graduated from Ricks College. He served an LDS mission to Canada. He was active in the LDS Church, having served as a bishop in the Pocatello 5th Ward and Emmett 1st Ward, as a counselor in three bishoprics and as a City; Gordon Cooper, Murray; Mrs. Eldon (Sharon) Ives, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Mark (Verna) Stockwell, American Fork; Alan Cooper, West Jordan; Todd Cooper, Provo; 26 grandchildren, one sister and one brother: Mrs. Ivan (Venice) Thueson, Orem; Martel Cooper, St. Helena, Calif. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the American Fork West Stake Center, 165 N. 350 West, where friends, may call from noon to 2 p.m. Burial will be in the American Fork City Cemetery. stake clerk. Ashton lipilllifiiil Douglas Marvin Ashton, 68, of Lehi, died Dec. 2, 1984 in a Salt Lake Hospital of complications following heart surgery. He was born July 13, 1916 in Lehi to Henry Marvin and Rosa Martina Hansen Ashton. He married Christy Lucille Whitman Whit-man April 17, 1936 in Provo! The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a mill wright, employed at U.S. Steel, Geneva Works. He was a high priest in the LDS Church. He is survived by his wife, Lehi; five daughters, Mrs. Mark mother, Mrs. Rose Ashton, Lehi; one brother and five sisters: Bruce Ashton, Orem; Mrs. Louie (Cleo) Poma, Salt Lake City; Mrs. John Vida) Bennett and Mrs. Paul (Lucille) Robinson, both American Fork; Mrs. Allen (Faye) Adams, Spanish Fork; and Mrs. '" William (Rhea) Shaw, Lehi. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 6, at noon in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, Lehi, where friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday prior to services. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. Patterson Lola Carson Lola Kirkman Carson, Car-son, 68, died Friday, Nov. 30, 1984, at American Fork. She was born Jan. 8, 1916, in American Fork to Ernest R. and Julia Davis Kirkman. She married Harold J. Carson March 1, 1940 in Salt Lake City. She was a member of the American Fork 4th Ward. She is survived by her husband and a daughter, Cleo C. Riggs, Grantsville. Also a granddaughter and two sisters: Mrs. Dee (Edith) Densley, Lehi; and Elva Street, American Fork. The funeral was held Monday, Dec. 3, in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, American Fork. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Eudora Tuttle Patterson, Pat-terson, 87, American Fork, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 1984 at American Fork Hospital. She was born Feb. 16, 1897, at Bountiful to Edgar Amos and Cynthia Estella Jones Tuttle. She married Robert Thomas Patterson Pat-terson May 11, 1916 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Jan. 20, 1968. She was a member of the American Fork 13th Ward. She had been a teacher, stake missionary and was active in LDS auxiliaries and in genealogy work. She is survived by three sons and six daughters: Mrs. Jacob (Sarah) Luttmer, R. Robert Patterson, Maurice Patterson and Edward Patterson, all of Alpine; Mrs. Russell (Edna) Ayres and Jewel Patterson, both of American Fork; Mrs. Joseph B. (Naomi) Johnson, Kanab; Mrs. John (Letitia) Marshall, Mar-shall, Sandy; Mrs. George M. (Leone) Johnson, Coachella, Calif.; 56 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren. grand-children. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Beatrice Patterson and Rebecca Patterson. Services were held Saturday, Dec. 1, at the American Fork 13th Ward. View Hospital, Payson, of causes incident in-cident to age. He was born Feb. 4, 1915 at American Fork to Alonza F. and Harriet Ovard Smith. He married Golda Siler. They were later divorced. He married Lois Fullmer. They were later divorced. He was a lifetime diesel and auto mechanic in the Utah County area. He was active in the LDS Church. Survivors include two sons and three daughters: David L. Smith and Danny F. Smith, both Pleasant Grove; Marilyn Goodman, Springville; Mrs. Steven (Shuree) Johnson, Layton; Mrs. Bryce (Debbie) Eyre, Provo; 11 grandchildren; grand-children; two great grandchildren; three brothers and one sister: George E.
