Show Funeral Services Held Saturday For Alfred Richins Funeral services for Alfred A. Richins, 77, who died in the American Fork Hospital March 19, 1975 of a heart attack, were held Saturday, March 22 at 11 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel under the direction of Bishop Gordon K. Allred of the First Ward. Speakers at the services were Joseph H. Beveridge, and Joyce Huntsman, who gave a life sketch, and remarks were given also by Bishop Gordon K Allred. Vocal numbers were given by Richard and Mary Deveraux accompanied by Margaret Vance and a vocal solo was sung by Glade Berry. Prayers were given by Clifton Wadley, Mont D. Pulham, Claire M. Lloyd and the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated by Paul L. Blackhurst. Pallbearers were David Messersmith, Murry Murdoch, Dennis Nelson, Garland Mayne, LaMar Dahl, Blaine Huntsman, Mark Thompson and David Walker and Scott, Shawn and Brad Richins were honorary pallbearers. Mr. Richins was born Aug. 17, 1897 in Pleasant Grove to John Alma and Mary Jane Ellis Richins. He married Florence Johnson Oct. 19, 1923 in Far-mington. Far-mington. She died Aug. 29, 1936. He married Ellen Sundquist Sept. 1, 1937 in Salt Lake City. He was a farmer. ' Survivors include his wife, sons, daughters, Karl, Mrs. Vernal (Cora) Messersmith, Mrs. Clifton (Mary) Wadley, Mrs. Allen (Louise) Austin, all of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Ralph (Glenda) Murdoch, American Fork; John, Orem; Calvin, Hooper, Weber County; 23 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, grand-children, brother, sisters, Frank, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Mable Baxter, Magna; Mrs. ' Hazel West, American Fork. |
