Show Funeral Rites Held Wednesday For Zelmer Aston Funeral services for Zelmer Aston, 76, who died Saturday at the Veterans Hospital of a stroke, were held Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel Chap-el in Pleasant Grove. They were directed by Alan March-banks, March-banks, counselor in the Lindon Second Ward bishopric. Speakers at the services were Verl Kirk and Bishop Nyle Harris. Musical numbers included a piano solo by Donna Gillman and a vocal duet by Inez Marchbanks and Lois Wright, accompanied by Donna Gill-man. Gill-man. Invocation was given by Du-aine Du-aine F. Williams, and benediction benedic-tion by John Gillman. .Dedication .Dedica-tion of the grave in the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove City Cemetery was by Alma Hansen. Pallbearers were Tom Williams, Will-iams, Kal Hansen, Don Gillies, Lon Hooley, Lloyd Hansen, and Gene Hansen. Zelmer Aston was born Oct. 16, 1896 in Pleasant Grove, a son of Edwin and Emily ' Ann Keetch Aston. He never married. mar-ried. He was a retired farmer and a Veteran of World War I. He was a member of the LDS Church, living in the Lindon Lin-don Second Ward. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Martha Ella Williams, of Orem. |
