Show Funeral Rites Held Monday for Delbert J. Ellis Funeral services for Delbert James Ellis, 66, who died last Thursday of a heart attack, were held Monday, Sept. 11, in the Third-Sixth Ward Chapel Chap-el at 11 a.m. Bishop Cloyd Christiansen of the Sixth Ward conducted. Speakers at the services were J. C. Hilton and Eugene Bezzant, and a life sketch was given by Joy Ellis. Musical numbers were given giv-en by a double trio, Ida Mae Christiansen, Mary Nielson, Sharon Willes, Ganell Newman, New-man, Julie Roberts, and Ruth Christiansen, accompanied by Judy Brown, and by Sharon and Marlene Willes, accompanied accom-panied by Dorothy Bertch. Family prayer, invocation, and benediction were given by Martell Ellis, Clarence Rasmus-sen Rasmus-sen and Herbert Gilbert, respectively. re-spectively. The grave was dedicated ded-icated in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery by Wayne Ellis. Pallbearers were Carl Carlson, Carl-son, Harold Nelson, Ivan Coll-edge, Coll-edge, Keith Warburton, Daryl E. Huish and Reed Newman. Delbert James Ellis was born Nov. 19, 1906 in Pleasant Grove a son of William Thomas and Anna Christiansen Ellis. He married Marjorie Blood July 24 1931, and he died Nov. 19, 1967. Mr. Ellis worked at Geneva Steel Plant until his retirement retire-ment six years ago. He was a members of the LDS Church. Survivors include four sons, Max D. Ellis, Dugway, Louis B., Don W., and Grant W., all of Pleasant Grove; 11 grandchildren, grand-children, three brothers, Wayne Ellis, Orem; Martell Ellis, of Bountiful and Ruben Ellis, of Ogden. |
