Show Funeral Rites for Ivadell T. Howarth Held Last Friday Funeral services in memory of Iva Dell Tomlinson Howarth, 73, were held Friday, October 31, at 11 a.m. in the Timpan-ogos Timpan-ogos Stake House, under the direction di-rection of Bishop Mack Palmer of the LDS Grove Ward. Mrs. Howarth died October 28, 1969 in American Fork Hospital Hos-pital of natural causes. Speakers who eulogized the deceased as an outstanding wife, mother, neighbor and church member were Donna A. Brock, T. Ardie Adams and Leon Walker. Bishop Palmer also gave fitting closing remarks. re-marks. William E. Petersen favored with a vocal solo, "Beyond the Sunset," accompanied by Flor-is Flor-is Olsen, who also played an organ solo and the prelude and postlude. A voal duet, "When I Take My Vacation in Heaven," was sung by Robert and Lydia Hilton, Hil-ton, accomanied by Beverly Chris teson. Family prayer, the invocation invoca-tion and the benediction were offered by Robert Marrott, Robert Hansen and Oscar W. Evans, in that order. Pallbearers were LeRoy Carter, Car-ter, Lloyd Armitstead, Reed Orton, Byron Orton, Frank Long and Melvin Lemon. Flowers were cared for and arranged by the Grove Ward Relief Society. The grave in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated by Thomas C. Larsen. Mrs. Tomlinson was born on March 20, 1896 in Price, Utah, a daughter of Charles and Eliza Davis Marrott. She married Clifford B. Tomlinson June 28, 1917 in Llndon. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He died May 16, 1944. She married Leon Howarth Aug. 1952, in Elko, Nevada. He died April, 1953. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a Relief Society worker for many years, and a member of the Pleasant Grove Garden Club. Survivors include sons, and a daughter, Clifford Jene, Lowell Low-ell B., Mrs. Elmo (Marie) Miller, Mill-er, all of Pleasant Grove; 10 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. |
