Show Funeral Rites for Lisa Burnside Held Last Monday Funeral services for Lisa Burnside, 6, were held Monday, April 8 1968, at 1:00 p.m. in the Manila Ward Chapel under the direction of Bishop David C. Harvey. The child was killed last Thursday evenig after being stuck by an eastbound automobile automo-bile on U-185. She died shortly after arrival at American Fork Hospital. Parents of the child are Mr. and Mrs. Jess C. Burnside, Burn-side, 95 West 1600 Norht in the Manila area. Speakers, who paid tribute to the little girl and spoke words of assurance and sympathy sym-pathy were Bishop Harvey, Leah Hartshorn and Onita Sumsion. Lisa's Primary class sang, "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam," Sun-beam," and "I Am a Child of God, "directed by Helen Harvey and accompanied by Lucy Haycock. Hay-cock. Mrs. Haycock also played an organ solo and the prelude and postlude organ music. Family prayer was led by James Sumsion, Earl Matthews asked the invocation and benediction bene-diction was pronounced by Joan Stubbs. Pallbearers were uncles of Lisa and flowers were cared for and arranged by the Manila Ward Relief Society. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where the dedicatory prayer was spoken by Jess C. Burnside. Lisa was bom July 31, 1961 in Salt Lake City and was a student at the Grovecrest Elementary Ele-mentary School at the time of her death. Survivors: parents; brothers, sister, Mark, Wallis, Camille, all of Pleasant Grove; grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Burnside, Fairview; Mr. and Mrs. Wallis P. Rosenlof, Salt Lake City; great-grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Christiansen, Christian-sen, Manti. |
