We cannot refrain from calling the peoples attention to an article in THE CITIZEN ofSept.4th, heae'ed " Releasing Murderers. In wnich it shows an attempt is being made to release Richard Loeb and Nathan F. Leopold Jr., who committed Ihe most daftordly murder reported in the crimnal annuals in a score of years Sons of millionairs they procured the ablest councel that money could buy, cheated the hangman af their just deserts and now after a few short years starting propaganda for their release from confinement. The release of such vicior s characters as the evidence showed these murderers could bring nothing but harm to the civilized world and a cry of protest should go up from every red blooded, law abidirg American citizen in the United States, and should stir the soul of our citizenary to a point where they would demand a more rigid restriction to the pardoning powers. We areheartlym accord with THE CITIZEN that no murderer should EVER be liberate except in cases where the recommendation, which has saved him from the hangman's noose, is based on some extenuating circumstances and then only when Town Board Meets. The Town Board of Junction met in its regular monthly session Tuesday evening, Sept.7th, and after the general and routine business was attended to they took up and adopted tfie History of the town of Junction, which you will find in another part of this issue, and al'o an ordinance in relation to fencing. They also ordered the Town Clerk lo have the New Century Printing Company of Provo print the ordinances of the Town in book form. School Board Meeting. The regular monthly School Board Meeting was held in the Board of Education room on Tuesday, Sept. 7th with Superintendent L. R. Nelson, John Moore, Sr. of Angle, Sidney Nielson of Greenwich, John Westwood of Circeville and S. L. Page of Marysvale in attendance. Kennedy; Angle, Fay Conder; Kingston, Vivian Barnson: Greenwich, Oliva Tanner; the Junction Janiter was not appointed as I. M. Bay our local School Board member was not present. Mr. Bainette of the Bully Boy Mine met with the School Board and requested a school at the mine. There will be about sixteen pupils for such a school and the Utah Lead Co. agreed to furnish suitable building, heat light and building services jf their request was granted.
