They were joined there by another daughter, Mrs. John Evans, of Logan. They had a nice dinner together then spent the afternoon visiting. Mrs. Genevieve McQuivey of Provo visited Mrs. Maud Roberts one day last week. They were girlhood friends. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Christensen accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Swenson of Spanish Fork to Provo Thursday where they spent the afternoon with Mrs. Mary Davis. They had an enjoyable visit and light refreshments served. were Mrs. Agnes Wood and Mrs. Eleanor attended a birthday club party for Opal Taylor at the home of Mae Atwood on Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Peterson spent the day Wednesday in Salt Lake where they visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. James Sorensen. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Milton Peterson spent the day here with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Clell Porter and daughter, Jackie, went to Salt Lake Sunday where they visited the Chris Barbacos family and attended a missionary farewell party for Brent Bylund. Pleasant has received a promotion within the First Security banking organization. Max Thomas, Spanish Fork, senior vice president and supervisor of the Southern division of First Security Bank of Utah, N.A., has announced that Mr. Jeppson has been promoted to assistant vice president and Southern division operations and personnel manager. In this capacity, Mr. Jeppson will supervise operations and personnel matters for the 19 banking offices comprising the Southern division of First Security. A graduate of Brigham Young University and former instructor of economics at the Provo school, Mr. Jeppson joined First Security in 1961 following banking experience with Seattle First National Bank. He served as assistant manager of First Securitys Mt. Pleasant office previous to his assignment as oerations and personnel manager for the Southern division a year went to Woods The following ladies from Salem attended the State Recognition Day for members of the Tops Club: Mrs. Helen Davis, Mrs. Ann Nybo and Mrs. Leona Brimhall. Mrs. Brimhall graduated from Tops and received a certificate and rose making her a member of the National Tops organization. Mr. Jeppson was born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. He lived in Caldwell, Idaho and later moved to Brigham City, Utah where he graduated from Box Elder High School as president of the senior class. He served two years in the U. S. Navy during the Korean war, and following release from the Navy, left for Sweden to fullfil a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latte- These are the key men at U. S. He has also done graduate work at the University of Washington in Seattle. Mr. Jeppson and his wife, the former Delores Schneider of Portland, Oregon, have four children. Their appointment was made by the central office for the United States in Brooklyn, New York and became effective April 1. They have worked for the past two years in California and Kansas.
