Mrs. Ethel Hirst was host at a birthday dinner recently in honor of W. Harold Hirst and his two small grandsons, Mike and Rusty Wilbert. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wilbert of Ogden, Mrs. Verlie Wehrle and Mrs. W. Harold Hirst of Salt Lake, Mrs. Orville Gerow of Provo and Charles Hirst. Charles Pace retires from U. S. Steel Charles Pace is enjoying his free time and planning future pleasures since his retirement from the Geneva Plant, United States Steel Co. Mr. Pace is a young 80 years, appearing more like 16, and has been employed at Geneva the past 22 years. As a matter of fact, he worked on construction of the plant and then was hired in the utilities department, where he has remained through his long tenure on the job. With a new car and the promise of summer ahead, he plans to fulfill his dreams of extended travel. Mrs. Dean Peery, with three sisters, Mrs. Della Bliss, Mrs. Grace Elmer and Mrs. Dawn Butterfield from Provo, went to Salt Lake on Saturday. Two other sisters, Mrs. RetaGailey and Mrs. Ulala Butler, joined them for a sister and dinner to help Mrs. Butterfield celebrate her birthday which was on Saturday. Proud parents of their first baby, a girl, are Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Jacobson of Provo. The little Miss made her debut on March 11 in the Utah Valley Hospital. The Jacobsons are former Spring Lakers. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Stapely Mikesell, the baby is their first grandchild, and Mr. and Mrs. Milan Jacobson. Archer Butler, who has been living in Salt Lake for the winter, visited on Sunday with his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Hector Sadler. . Miss Patricia Peery and her brother, Clyde Rex Peery from Salt Lake, visited with their parents, the Rex Peerys, over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Menlove family were guests for dinner on Sunday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Rhea Menlove.
