Electricity has always impressed me as a mystery and a miracle anyway, but just think of the multiple of involvements necessary to bring the power to your home. The system requires meters, transformers, generators, transmission lines, and maintenance crews, to a just mention few. The continual negotiations of Payson Power Company to purchase power for our community as economically as possible is a vital service for us. on-al- sub-statio- Payson Power is an affiliate with UAMPS electric power broker, representing 36 different cities in the negotiations for power rates. most -- , The great block of mega watts purchased by UAMPS place them in a strong position to purchase power for us at a very competitive rate. Such factors as efficiency, friendliness, reliability, courtesy, helpfulness, thoroughness, communication and speedy repairs of problems are all part of the system, and Payson Power is very interested in the challenge of continuing the improvement of all areas. The Payson Power Company has recently received the results of die customer satisfaction survey which was conducted by Satisfaction Development systems in May of . . ns 1998. This survey was conducted using the telephone com- munication method, with 350 representative customers randomly selected from the company data base. This survey provided a confidence level of I am very happy to report that the overall ratings reflect a strong level of support for the Payson Power Company, with over 96 of those surveyed giving a positive rating. The few complaints from our customers include: Too much time to repair a problem. 95. Power outages and lack of courtesy from certain city .. , personnel. rr. ,, It was interesting to read the customer suggestions to improve the system. For your information, I have listed some of the ideas: ; 1. I really like the idea of equal monthly payments. 2. Keeping things "local" is very important. 3. The whole thing depends on the price of power. 4. 1 wish you would show last months charges on your : bill so I can see where I am,. . ' . 5. I would like to pay my bill by credit card. " 6. I like having a Newsletter. Payson has ah excellent power department and we can all be proud of the crews that make it possible.
