Its virtually impossible to write cheerfully about anything like that. This man is Charles Chuck Warren of the Utah State Highway Patrol. The details of his misfortune, I hope, are vividly imprinted in the minds of all people in these surrounding towns. To me this grave injustice, is every bit as horrible and unnecessary as were the assassinations of the Kennedys and of Martin Luther King. I know that this is how his little family must feel! It also seems proximately seventy ton available. Voting unanimous. er Item No. 7G: LeRoy Whitehead, Jr. presented to the Board a milk bid tabulation, bids opened and complied by three members of his department. Motion: Glenn W. The Board adjourned the meeting at 1:10 a.m. on a motion by Glenn W. Clerk-Treasur- nd 0. to me that it is cruel to know and realize that a cheap punk from some other state could come to our area and cut down one of our most loved and respected law enforcement officers. Think about it! My first real meeting with Chuck was at the time I was Outreach Supervisor of the South End C.A.P, Program of Utah County. We were trying to set up a Medical Self-He- lp Program for the people of this community and in doing so, had to have some person who had experienced some of the gruesome affects of a tragedy, and someone well versed in the field of First Aid. We decided that Chuck was the person best qualified and could fill the bill We contacted him, and he was very gracious; said that this was a step in the right direction and would be very helpful in cases of emergency. He came to our meeting right on time, and gave a very demonstration in the care of the injured and bleeding. During the break, we all approched Chuck with several questions that were of interest to us, and he very obligingly answered all that he possibly could. At this same time, I asked him how it affected him to invectigate an accident; how it affected him when he witnessed all the smashed cars and maimed people who were unfortunately involved. He thought for just a moment and then with deliberation, said Someone has to do it. He, then, told us of an accident that had occurred about six It was the one in the months before. Santaquin fields where two young teenagers were killed in a crash with a train. He told us how he had to stop and think for a minute or two before he could muster up enough courage to take care of it. Again, he said, that someone had to do it. And, he did! He gained my full admiration right then, because I dont really think that the ordinary layman can possibly realize the full impact of a grinding crash such as Thursday, Septan bar 18, 1969 Rhoda Malcolm Funeral services for Rhoda Steele Malcolm were held Wednesday, September 10, 1969 in the Genola LDS Ward Chapel at 2:00 p.m, with Bishop Glade Draper conducting.
