Show PAYSON THE CHRONICLE 5 HOSPITAL Thursday, August 14, 1969 Nebo camp - Continued from Front Page to the General Board of our church. A social hour was enjoyed after the speaker and lemon cream pie was served. While guests and girls looked at pictures posted in the lodge. These pictures were of the girls in their younger days which surprised all of them because they were secretly gathered and put on posters by Virginia Shelley. Campers started breaking camp after breakfast Friday and a short meeting was held to give farewell to all. Thanks was given to our tremendous cooks, Verl Hancock, and Jeanine Whitelock. They were assisted by Ruth Elmer and MIA Stake Board members. A standing ovation was given by the girls to our Stake Camp director Holly Broadhead in appreciation for all the efforts for a wonderful camping experience. Needless to say camp gets better every year. A very helpful, functional committee was formed to help with camp this year. Lylia Carlisle and Shirley Riley, along with other responsibilities directed the music; Betty Searle, arts and crafts; JaNene Gasser, relays. Marianne Evans part of this permanent committee was out of state at this time. Our special thanks to LaVern Wood who is always Johnny on the spot when help is needed and Janey Marvin who helped with arts and crafts. - School Calendar Continued from Front Page Aug 25, Institute and Faculty Meet. 9 a.m. Aug. 27, Opening Day of School 9:00 a.m. Jan. 16, 1970 End of First Semester May 27, Classwork ends and High School Graduation.
