They have recently moved to West Mountain from Ogden. West Mountain Views Mrs. Ruby Meredith Phone 465-333- Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schramm attended commencement exercises at Lehi on Wednesday evening to see their oldest grandchild, James Lynn Schramm graduate. James Lynn is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Schramm. Following the exercises they visited at the Schramm home. A family party was held Friday at the Byron Parker home where dinner was enjoyed by FN Randy K Moore of San Diego and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Karl Moore and family of Lehi, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Cook and family of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Parker and family of Richfield. Arlen Tanner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Tanner, celebrated his ninth birthday Monday after school As the bus arrived with eleven friends Mrs. Tanner was prepared to serve a lovely lunch. A treasure hunt was enjoyed later. Boys present were Jeffery Curtis, Gary Carlyle and Brad Carlyle, Gordon Kineson, Ronald Maestas, Kevin Betts, Owen WignaH, KeithTanner, Tracy Hill and Glen Homer. Donna Seat, daughter of Mrs. Mamie Seat, was honored at a kitchen shower on Saturday at the apartment of Cassie Stubbs and Julie Bandly at Provo. Others present were Dorothy Trapnell and Mimi Black. They are all close friends and at the B.Y.U. Computer Center. Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Parker motored to Hinckley on Wednesday where they visited Mrs. Parkers brothers and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bishop and Mr. and Mrs. Dale S. Bishop. Mrs. Albert McBeth, Mr. and Mrs. Max McBeth and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis McBeth and their families of Tooele and Mr. and Mrs. Ray McBeth and family of Lander, Wyoming visited Memorial Day at the McBeth home. Mr. and Mrs. Riy McBeth are in the process of moving to New Mexico. Kevin McBeth, son of Max and Ann, is leaving in the near future for the French L.D.S. Mission. Mrs. McBeth will make her home for the summer with Max and Ann. She was very happy to greet old neighbors and friends. Grant Melvin E. Grant, 59, formerly of Pay-so- n died May 24 at a hospital in Tacoma, Wash., after open heart surgery. He was born Feb. 7, 1910, in Salt Lake City, a son of Frank E, and Sarah Hamilton Grant. He married Estelle Gluck in Tacoma, Wash., where he has made his home for many years. Mr. Grant was educated in schools of Payson, graduating from Payson High School. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was self employed as a building contractor. Surviving are his widow of Tacoma, two sons and a daughter, Edward, David and Ellen; his mother, Payson; four brothers and two sisters, LeRoy Grant, St. Paul, Minn.; Howard Grand, Escondido, Calif.; Leslie Grant, Salt Lake City; and Glen Grant, Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Stewart (Ramona) Schaerrer, Payson; and Mrs. Guy (Lucile) Nielson; Mapleton. Funeral services were held in Tacoma, with burial in Mountain View, Cemetery, also in Tacoma. Collision died in a grinding head-o- n 7:45 p.m. four miles west of Skyview on Highway 50. Vicenti Veneno, 48, of Dulce, New Mexico, was driving a 1968 pickup truck and was traveling west on a curve on the wrong side of the road. His speed was approximated at 50 miles per hour. With him was Hazel D.J. De Dios, 44, also of Dulce, New Mexico. Veneno died Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Utah Valley Hospital Hazel De Dios was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Eastbound and traveling in a 1965 Plymouth Baracouda was Gerald Thomas Notress, 26, of Woods Cross. His condition was listed as poor and he was transferred Saturday from the Utah Valley Hospital to the St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City. With him and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident were his wife, Kathleen Kerr Natress, 24; two daughters, Shelley, three and Laurie, age six; his mother, Beverly Poulson Natress, 46; and a nephew, Brad Kerr, age 14; all were residents of Woods Cross, Utah. LaMar Horrocks of the Utah Highway Patrol investigated the accident. Both cars were totaled out.
