Though hard to believe now, when this area was first settled, loegepole pines five feet in diameter covered the surrounding sur-rounding mountainsides. In just a few short years, those same mountainsides were completely denuded of trees. The exhibit includes a photo of those bald hills, a video showing a modern logging operation, and a scale model of a lumber lum-ber mill complete with tiny saws. Life-size Life-size saws are on display to give the viewer a perspective. The Park City Museum is located in Old City Hall, 528 Main Street, and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
