The supply for children 6 months to 36 monihs should arrive shortly. Persons at increased risk for serious complications and their household contacts (including out-of-homc careejvers and household contacts of children ages six months to five years) should receive the vaccine beginning in September. In facilities housing older persons (e.g., nursing homes), vaccination before October typically should be avoided because antibody levels in such persons can begin to decline more rapidly after vaccination. Because children ages six months to nine years who have not been previously vaccinated need two doses of vaccine, they should receive their first dose in September, so that both doses can be administered before the onset of influenza: activity. For previously vaccinated children. only one dose is needed. Vaccinations are $20 and the clinic will bill Medicare. The general population must pre-pay. For more information, call the clinic at 649-7460. The clinic is located at 1665 Bonanza Dr. , . Visit, the.
