In consideration for the license and use of the Snowbasin Ski Area, SLOC will offset the Olympic Winter Games-specific costs with a $9.8 million payment to the Sun Valley Company, which owns and operates the Snowbasin Ski Area in Weber County. Additionally, SLOC will provide $4 million of value-in-kind services, including equipment equip-ment from York, a refrigeration sponsor of the 2002 Games. Terms of the agreement included the identification of usage periods. Construction for the substructure of the competition competi-tion area will begin in the summer of 2000. Temporary facilities such as spectator seating, scoreboards, broadcast area and temporary buildings will be put in place beginning in the summer of 2001. Snowbasin will perform per-form the construction, grooming and maintenance of the course at SLOC's direction. This agreement replaces the preliminary one negotiated by the Salt Lake Bid Committee with the Snowbasin Ski Area on Aug. 1, 1994, as the alpine skiing venue. The final venue agreement agree-ment between SLOC and the Sun. Valley Company on behalf o the ' Snowbasin Ski Area will now undergo review by SLOC's independent inde-pendent Board of Ethics. Drop shots by Warren Pretorius Head tennis professional, PC Racquet Club Player drills: "The Rush and Crush" A good practice session involves working on placement, consistency, and shot selection. The warm-up is an ideal time to work on these, before actual point or match play. The purpose of the "Rush and Crush Drill" is to work on the serve and volley, a chip and charge return of serve, reflex volleys, and court movement. The drill: 1. The entire drill is played cross court, in the deuce side of the singles court. 2. Server has only one serve (second serve?), and loses the point if he misses the serve. 3. Server serves and closes into the net - serve and volley, looking for put away volley. 4. Returner works on chipping chip-ping the serve back cross court, and then closing into the net behind the return, looking for a put away opportunity. 5. Play out the point. 6. Alternate server after five points (ping-pong format) until one player reaches 10 points. 7. Repeat game in the ad-court. ad-court. With both players closing the net, the stage is set for reflex volleys. Consider the fact that the harder you hit a volley, the higher the risk of the shot, and the higher your shot will be at your opponent's point of contact (making for an easier easi-er volley for your opponent). Faced with an opponent closing the net, try to take pace off of your volley, "dumping" the ball at your opponent's feet. This will force your opponent to dig down and volley up, hopefully presenting you with a put-away opportunity. Leaky Basement Solved with , Xypex GUARANTEED Concrete Waterproofing.
