Show Ladies' golf league to s p ri ng i n to actio n by DAVE ADLER Record staff writer Barring further inclement weather, the Park City Ladies' Golf Association will shift into high gear in the next several days. On Friday, the eight-member traveling team will host the Wasatch squad. The match will begin at 9 a.m. at the Park City Golf Course. Victory will be awarded to the team that posts the lowest team total. The match will be the first of the year for the Park City players, who were rained out last Friday in a scheduled home encounter with Glenmoor of Salt Lake City. On Tuesday, the association will feature an odd or even tournament at the Park City Golf Course. About 60 golfers are expected to be on hand for this unique event. Laurie Murley, president of the association, said golfers will be eligible to win prizes on either odd or even holes, which they will select before beginning play. Murley said gift certificates will be awarded for both gross and net scores. Golfers interested in playing in the ladies' league are encouraged to sign up at the Park City Golf Course. There are two nine-hole leagues on Tuesday, one in the morning and an "after work league" in the late afternoon early evening hours. An 18-hole league is also conducted on Tuesday morning. There is a sign up fee of $30, which includes membership member-ship in the association and handicap costs. |
