Show JOHN V MURPHY DEAD the community was shocked last saturday when the news was circulated that john V murphy the well known thad died suddenly the night belore before at his beme on park avenue from an attack of 0 apoplexy mr murphy had returned friday evening from salt lake by stage where he had been looking at a home it being the in la of 0 the family to move to the metropolis to reside in the near future the property looked at did aid not just suit mr air Al murphy urphy aud and he returned home informing mrs murphy bat that they both would go down the following sunday and select a suitable place mr air murphy had been home but a short time and mrs murphy was pra preparing a lunch tor for him when whon lie ha was stricken he was pacing the room at the time and his wife heard him call tor for water she knowing mr air murphy was subject to sort of fainting spells occasionally was much alarmed and hurried in with a glass of water to find her husband in a state of collapse the water tailed failed to revive him assistance was called and mr murphy put to bed dr snow and rev fath father er galligan were sont sent I 1 tor for mr air murphy was conscious cons clous rec zing his family and friends I 1 gathered around him but he bradu ally tailed failed and in one hour after he was first stricken he be passed to ills his reward lie he died about 1020 p in mr murphy was well and favorably known in our community com munty for many years lie he had been engaged in the mercantile business in our city chiy in which ho gaii had proved very successful at the time of his death mr air murphy was a member of the local school board mrs murphy was born in hancock michigan august 17 1863 early in life his parents moved to oneil nebraska where he be lived until coming coining to park city some twenty years ago ile he Is survived by a widow and three sons milton ray and edward and to these loved ones sincere sympathy Is extended in their sudden and sad bereavement deceased Is also alho survived by two brothers residing in portland oie gon and two sisters mrs anna storm of gregory south dakota and mrs airs margaret enwright En of onell oneil neb funeral services were held sunday afternoon at the Catholic church Rev father galligan officiating the church was filled with friends of the deceased the remains were taken to oneil tor for interment accompanied by mrs airs murphy y and the tha youngest son edward mrs murphy was met in salt lake by her sater mrs margaret gibbon ot of dutte butte montana who also accompanied her on her sad mission east many friends accompanied the remains to the train the pall bearers being henry shields henry fares tim holland tom powers tom paull and P P harrington |
