The convention is held at the Salt Palace and consists of workshops, exhibits, entertainment, and generally anything teachers and their students could be interested in. The six-fobreak in the water line pipe affected Deer Valley, Pacific and Heber Avenues, and threatened flooding the Union Pacific Depot. In addition, a small portion of Main Street had no water. Materials for repairing the line had to be obtained in Salt Lake. Fav Dearden reported the break. THREE REGISTRATION DATES REMAINING With the General Election of November 5th less than a month away, there are three more dates on which Park City residents can register here. The dates are October 12th, 15th, and 29th. Residents may also register on weekdays, up to ten days before the election, at the County Clerks office in Coalville. Those who voted in last years election and who have not moved into another voting district need not register. GPCC BUSY WITH INTERVIEWING The personnel department of the Greater Park City Company reports being extremely busy with the interviewing of winter job applicants. Tentative plans call for the addition of approximately 550 employees to the year-roun- d figure of 250 to bring the peak payroll to 800. 400 persons The 800 mark will not be reached until February. The expenditure includes sodding, the fi i planting of trees, and the installation of a water sprinkling system. Tlie building, which was purchased undo Superintendent Nelson, was supposed to be ready by September 13th. Representatives of the Integral Steel Company in S.L.C. say the problem with the . delays is due to their inability to get materials for the roof.
