Show Wednesday, July THE, PARK CITY COALITION 10, 1974 Page 6 PRINE AND ELLIOTT On Friday, July 12th, John Prine and Ramblin Jack Elliot will perform at the Park City Opera House. Two days later, on Sunday the 14th, Tracy Nelson and Mother Earth, along with Doug Gittings, take the stage. This caliber of entertainment which is presented by Rocky Mountain Productions, is seldom offered in Park City and the opportunity should not be ignored. Prine, who has been described as the new Dylan, focuses on the unfulfilled dreams of the everyday man with a chilling and personal style. Kris Kristof-ferso- n is quoted as saying no could be that somebody way and that good.. ..just might young have to break his thumbs. Ramblin Jack Elliot has been absorbing the music and habits of rural America for many years and he captures in song the spirit of common folk. Dylan has tabbed Ramblin Jack as the most unlikely and outrageous limb between what went down and whats going down. One of the many musical lights which began to shine in San Fran-sisc- o around 1966, Tracy Nelson and Mother Earth are among the few which have refused to fade. Adhering to their rhythm and blues inspired rock n roll, the group has become a more permanent lixture on the musical scene with each passing year. Doug Gittings hails from Austin, Texas and is hailed as one of Texas' finest guitar pickers and composers. His appearances throughout the state have been met with enthusiasm and respect from au nces and musicians alike POOH - BEAR Born to fetch is the apt description given to this weeks Coalition Canine. It is documented in Ripleys Care About It or Not that Poohs object of desire was once chased by her for five continuous hours. She stopped only for occasional drinks of water and to change sweat bands. Pooh-Bear- s There is no such thing as a ball thrown too far or a period of retreiving which is too long. Her stamina is undisputed if her mental capabilities are not. Among her other attributes, Pooh serves as a messenger for Craig and GARAGE SALE July 13 & 14, Sat.-Su- n.
